If you work from home with a toddler or just have a toddler that you want to get to play more independently, these are five activities that my son absolutely loves. The best part is a lot of them can be done quietly ... or a toddlers version of quiet lol which is great for when you need to be in a meeting or send a few emails.

My son loves:
- Puzzles: we seriously have so many puzzles. I made sure that I have one that he can do by himself so no more than 12 pieces. That’s his max right now. The two piece Dino puzzles are PERFECT because they’re super easy to match and he doesn’t get frustrated
- Stepping Stones: All my moms who have toddlers with a lot of energy know that it is imperative to get that energy out, so we recently introduced the stepping stones and he’s gradually getting braver and braver discovering how to use them.
- Books & Animal Figures: now this is something that’s probably going to look different for everyone. My son really loves reading and really loves animals so they go hand and hand for us.
- ABC Magnets: he lovesssssss to sing his ABCs so usually he will play with magnets and name an animal or a word that goes with each letter. I don’t have to do much. I just affirm what he says.
- Colorful Animal Sorter: this animal sorter is a part of a larger toddler time learning toy that he has. He loves playing with the animal pieces. Counting and sorting them and making all the animal sounds.

I work from home with my toddler so throwing on the tv was honestly a part of our day to day. I used to do screen free mornings when he was younger but it honestly was easier to throw on a show when I had a meeting or needed to answer emails.

I started noticing he wasn’t transitioning well when it was time to stop watching tv. That’s when I knew something had to change.

We’re not completely screen free but I’d say we’ve cut out about 95% of the tv he watches and things have been going a lot smoother for us.

Moms hear me when I say you are deserving of rest. You don’t have to check everything off your to-do list. You’re allowed to have a bad day… recover from it and start fresh again tomorrow. And if no one told you you’re doing an amazing job with your little ones 💗

This french toast recipe is easily one of my go-to breakfast recipes for my toddler. On days where I’m working and I have meetings and need a quick breakfast know he will love this is usually what I make. It takes maybe 15 minutes start to finish (if that!) The raspberries can be subbed out for any fruit you have on hand... blackberries, blueberries, bananas the possibilities are endless.

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese (I used strawberry but you can use regular)
- handful of raspberries
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of milk (add more if the batter is too thick)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- a few shakes of cinnamon
(I measure with my heart the vanilla and cinnamon are an estimate ... you know what your kids like)

Let me know if you give it a try 🫶🏾✨

I can’t believe January has already come and gone. We accomplished so much this month. We played in the snow, we baked cakes and brownies and cinnamon rolls, we visited the Eric Carle museum so my little guy could see art and books by his favorite author, I brought myself a new book to read, my hubby turned 37. Over all it was an amazing month an amazing start to the new year.

I can’t wait to see what February has in store for us.

Here’s to a new month and new blessings 🫶🏾✨

We had the best time visiting the Eric Carle Museum. To know my son is to know that he is quite literally OBSESSED with everything Eric Carle ... he thinks every single book was written by Eric Carle it’s kinda the cutest thing.

We took a 2 hour road trip to the museum so he could see all the art and books by his favorite author. Truth be told he could’ve stayed in the library the whole time. He loved story time ... so much so that he quite literally ripped the book out of the librarians hands and started reading to everyone 😊 (needless to say after that everyone knew we
were the family from Boston lol 🤣)

I can’t wait to be able to show him these pictures when he’s older and tell him all about how we packed up one morning and drove to the museum so he could give a hug to his favorite author (even if it was just a photo 🥹)

XOXO,
Eb
