This french toast recipe is easily one of my go-to breakfast recipes for my toddler. On days where I’m working and I have meetings and need a quick breakfast know he will love this is usually what I make. It takes maybe 15 minutes start to finish (if that!) The raspberries can be subbed out for any fruit you have on hand... blackberries, blueberries, bananas the possibilities are endless.

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese (I used strawberry but you can use regular)
- handful of raspberries
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of milk (add more if the batter is too thick)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- a few shakes of cinnamon
(I measure with my heart the vanilla and cinnamon are an estimate ... you know what your kids like)

Let me know if you give it a try 🫶🏾✨

I can’t believe January has already come and gone. We accomplished so much this month. We played in the snow, we baked cakes and brownies and cinnamon rolls, we visited the Eric Carle museum so my little guy could see art and books by his favorite author, I brought myself a new book to read, my hubby turned 37. Over all it was an amazing month an amazing start to the new year.

I can’t wait to see what February has in store for us.

Here’s to a new month and new blessings 🫶🏾✨

We had the best time visiting the Eric Carle Museum. To know my son is to know that he is quite literally OBSESSED with everything Eric Carle ... he thinks every single book was written by Eric Carle it’s kinda the cutest thing.

We took a 2 hour road trip to the museum so he could see all the art and books by his favorite author. Truth be told he could’ve stayed in the library the whole time. He loved story time ... so much so that he quite literally ripped the book out of the librarians hands and started reading to everyone 😊 (needless to say after that everyone knew we
were the family from Boston lol 🤣)

I can’t wait to be able to show him these pictures when he’s older and tell him all about how we packed up one morning and drove to the museum so he could give a hug to his favorite author (even if it was just a photo 🥹)

XOXO,
Eb

My son has been in speech therapy for almost a year now. Here are a few things that I stopped doing that have helped him make tremendous progress with his speech.

✨ I stopped rushing him. Toddlers are taking in so much information at this time and English is a really hard language to learn. I took things a lot slower
✨ Doign tasks alone - I noticed how much he loves helping me. Especially if I’m cooking. I use this as an opportunity to teach him. We’re cooking, pouring, mixing, with spoons, spatulas etc. narrating everything we’re doing really helps
✨ Talking over him - he can’t see my mouth moving when I’m standing over him. So getting down onto this level so he can see what I’m saying was helpful
✨ let him take control - he’s getting older. So I let him tell me what he’d like to do. And when he asks for something that he normally wouldn’t I don’t question him. One day he wanted to clean … so I let him help me load the dishwasher. And we talked and I labeled things.
✨let him struggle through it — instead of giving him the word right away and let him do the leg work of trying to recall the word or say it. Then if he mispronounced it I’d repeat it back to him
✨anticipating his every need — he won’t talk if he knows mom will just get me what I need. So even if I knew what he wanted I pretend like I don’t … so he’ll say what he needs… “open please” “I want to eat” “I’m hungry” “more please”

As always I hope this reaches the right people and that you find this helpful. By no means should you feel like you are doing anything wrong.

I’m here if you need an ear.

Xoxo,
Eb 🫶🏾✨
