This page is dedicated to Oliver my baby who is paralyzed from being beat with a baseball bat 6 years ago to now being diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer. This page is his journey. His tumor is terminal due to its location under the brain and close to the spinal cord. It is a meningioma and at its current growth rate Oliver only has 1 or 2 months to live. I am shocked beyond belief. But my hus
band and I are not giving up on our baby. We have decided to start IMRT -- Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy. The treatment will last through 6 sessions during a total of 4 weeks. If the treatment is successful, Oliver could live past a year. When it comes down to the end I will be providing the hospice care myself. I am blessed to own a company (that saves animals) and that my time is flexible. My part in the business will have to slow down but I know Larry, my business partner, will support Hendrick and Co when it’s needed. I have already built out a room for Oliver in our offices. I have a bed and equipment at my home as well so there is literally not one moment when he will be without me. Even when I go to the bathroom (TMI, I know) or take a bath he has his little bed in there so that I can handle his seizures if he has any. Oliver is the strongest most beautiful thing I have ever witnesses. He gives me strength when I have none. He gives me hope when I have none. And he fills me with love. We are done yet.
