This week haul!

I went shopping late last night and wasn't up to juicing. So I cleaned and stored the food for juicing today. (Video will be uploaded to my TikTok). I wanted to give some storage advice.

1. Root Veggies: celery, carrots, ginger, etc.
Glass containers with cold water. ( I change the water daily or every other day) You can keep Cleaned garlic or ginger in Alcohol and it will last for years. I've had a jar in my fridge for at least 2 years. It's for emergencies really. I go through them so fast fresh, I'm always buying tons.
Unused Raw Ginger or garlic I keep on my fruit and veggie stand.

2. Fruit: Again most likely glass containers. I don't add water to them and I always have paper towels on top and bottom of the glass.

3. Peppers and Cucumbers: they like plastic really. So i just use glass and add paper towels. I used to use zip lock bags that is a great option.

4. Citrus fruit and Melons: for me i like these out of the fridge. I prefer a room temperature fruit than a cold one. I do keep apples in a bowl in fridge or sometimes a paper bag outside the fridge on my fruit and veggie stand. I usually juice apples so they aren't stored long. Once cut i think fruit is best kept in glass well drained and dried.

5. Mushrooms and onions: I buy those plastic shape keepers and just use those. They work really well. However I only store red onions in the fridge after it's been cut. Raw uncut onions outside on my veggie stand. The mushroom holder is in the photo. I use that for the bulk mushroom I buy. The Asian style usually comes wrapped I just leave them as is. Or open and cover with paper towel.

6. Potatoes: Kept out on my Fruit and Veggie stand.

7. Avocado: I store out on veggie stand until ripe. Then I cut open and put in glass jar with ice cold water. I change daily this will keep for 3-5 days.

8. Fruit juice and Smoothies: I use glass for both and keep in fridge. I strain out my pulp a lot. 4 times. So my juice last 4-5 days. I've been juicing for awhile this is what works for me. Smoothies 48 hours max for me because of the protein powder and Sea Moss gel etc that I add in those.

Later Today I'll chop and juice. Alaska timezone is the last one so it will evening my time.

Today's Tea! I had made me a small kettle of soursop tea and it was perfect. Decided to make a larger size to last throughout the day. Teas allow me to drink nutrients without adding any calories or breaking any goals that I set for myself. I usually drink a glass of water than tea and keep alternating throughout the day. So no problem waiting to eat or being hungry all day. And I don't use the restroom at lot. I also make a morning Detox that just gets my day going. We all should be Drinking Herbal Teas (made at home not store kinds). Its good for the mind, body and soul!

I made these juices today. I'm making a video of each one. The ingredients will be listed. I really love each blend. They are heavy on the Ginger and Apples. Also made a plant-based protein Smoothie. I'm gonna track my sugar starting tomorrow just to be safe and also to better understand how my body is adjusting as I go.

Been Juicing since the New Year. Here are the new blends I've tried. I like beets added in. I won't eat them unless done up at some fancy restaurant or beet powder in a Smoothie. But Juicing them hasn't been too bad. I have one more juice left. These typically last 3-5 days because I've strained them. If not strained 3 days max. Can't wait to try a few more combinations tomorrow.
