School Based Health Center provides medical care to students at Bartlett High School, East High School, West High School, Begich Middle School, Clark Middle School, as well as pop-up clinics at Central, Romig, and Wendler Middle Schools. Anchorage School Based Health Centers (SBHC) offer on-site physicals, immunizations, diagnosis and treatment of minor illness and injury, screenings and referrals to students. This program is a partnership between the Anchorage School District and Christian Health Associates, and is supported entirely from revenue from patient services, grants and in-kind donations. Services will be billed to insurance, Medicaid, Denali Kid Care, and are available on a sliding fee scale according to family income and size. No money will be collected from students, and no one will be refused service based on inability to pay.
