1. I stopped upgrading my lifestyle every time I got a raise.
A lot of nurses make good money… but lifestyle inflation quietly steals freedom. Bigger car payments, expensive habits, nonstop Amazon packages. I started investing instead of impressing people.
2. I stopped relying on overtime as my financial plan.
Picking up extra shifts every time life got expensive was exhausting me. I realized I needed multiple streams of income and financial education — not just more burnout.
3. I stopped spending money to cope with stress.
Target runs, late-night food deliveries, random shopping after hard shifts… it added up. I started healing the stress instead of numbing it with spending.
4. I stopped saying “I’ll learn about money later.”
Most nurses were never taught about retirement, protection, investments, or how money actually works. Learning financial literacy changed my life because now my money has a job instead of just disappearing.
5. I stopped believing nursing had to be my ONLY option.
I still love being a nurse. But I also believe nurses deserve flexibility, peace, travel, and choices. Coaching, side hustles, and financial education opened doors I didn’t know existed.
That’s why I’m passionate about helping nurses build a life where nursing becomes OPTIONAL… not their only survival plan.
You don’t need to quit nursing.
You just need more freedom inside your life.
