Today, Southcentral Foundation is celebrating the reclamation of Dena’ina language by renaming SCF facilities in Anchorage.
We started the day at Yagheli Shesh Qenq’a Anchorage Native Primary Care Center, which means Good Medicine House in Dena’ina. In Dena’ina Athabascan, yagheli means good, shesh means breath and/or wellness, and qenq’a means house. Inside Yagheli Shesh Qenq’a, we hope you experience good medicine.
