Why Take a Childbirth Education Class?
Whether you're a first-time parent or just want a refresher, childbirth education classes can make a huge difference in how you feel going into labor and birth. Knowledge is power, and feeling prepared can help you feel more confident, calm, and in control.

Here’s Why a Class is Worth It:
🧠 You’ll Know What to Expect ~ Birth can feel unpredictable, but understanding the process~how labor works, what your body is doing, and what to expect~can take away a lot of the fear.

💡 You’ll Learn Your Options ~ From pain relief methods to birthing positions, interventions, and postpartum recovery, a class helps you make informed choices that feel right for you.

🤝 Your Partner Will Feel More Prepared ~ Birth classes aren’t just for the birthing person. Partners learn how to support, advocate, and feel more involved in the process.

💆‍♀️ You’ll Get Hands~On Comfort Techniques ~ Breathing, relaxation, movement, and other coping strategies can help labor feel more manageable~whether you want an unmedicated birth or plan to use pain relief.

📢 You’ll Feel More Confident Speaking Up ~ Knowing your options and rights helps you communicate with your medical team and make decisions that align with your birth plan.

👶 Better Birth & Postpartum Experience ~ Studies show that people who take childbirth classes often feel more satisfied with their birth and have smoother recoveries.

Birth is Big~But You Don’t Have to Go In Blind!
The more you know, the more empowered you'll feel. A childbirth education class gives you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to approach labor with less fear and more trust in yourself.

These are just a few of my tips and tricks for back pain in labor. Labor is work, but you’re not in it alone! With the right support and comfort measures, you can work through back pain and feel more in control.

💬 Want to learn more? Let’s chat! I’d love to help you feel as comfortable and prepared as possible for birth.

Try These Comfort Tips:
💆‍♀️ Counter Pressure – A firm press on your lower back (from your partner, doula, or even a tennis ball) can help relieve tension.

🏃‍♀️ Move Around – Rock on a birth ball, sway, squat, or try hands-and-knees to help shift baby’s position and take the pressure off.

🌿 Heat or Cold – A warm rice pack, heating pad, or a cool pack on your back can really help.

🚿 Water Therapy – A warm shower with the spray on your lower back or a soak in a tub can be super soothing.

🙌 Hip Squeeze – A little pressure on your hips (from your support person) can make a big difference during contractions.

👃 Deep Breathing & Relaxation – Taking slow, deep focused breaths can help your body stay
loose and reduce tension.

What Does a Doula Actually Do?
I’m there for you ~ before, during, and after labor. I do not replace your partner or medical team ~ I work alongside them, making sure you feel heard, informed, and as comfortable as possible.

Why You’ll Want a Doula on Your Birth Team
💛 Continuous Support ~ Doctors and nurses come and go, but I’m by your side the whole time, offering reassurance, encouragement, and comfort.

👐 Pain Management (That’s Not Just Medicine) ~ Whether it’s counter pressure, movement, breathing techniques, or just the right words at the right time, I help you stay as comfortable as possible.

📢 Advocacy & Guidance ~ Birth can move fast, and choices can feel overwhelming. I help you navigate decisions and make sure your voice is heard.

🤝 Support for your Partner, too! ~ Your partner wants to help but might not know what to do—don’t worry, I’ve got them! I help them feel confident and involved without the pressure of “knowing it all.”

📉 Less Stress, More Confidence ~ Studies show that having a doula can lead to shorter labors, fewer interventions, and an overall more positive birth experience. That's a win-win!

Birth, your way, as much as birth allows ☺️ ~
Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, home birth, medicated, unmedicated ~ whatever feels right for you ~ I support your choices 100%.

Birth is a big deal, and you don’t have to go through it alone. Let’s make this experience as positive, empowering, and stress-free as possible.

💬 Curious? Let’s chat! I’d love to hear about your birth goals and how I can support you.

It's been a hot minute since I posted last. I have been a busy bee working on adding new skillsets to my Doula tool kit. It's always a joy when I get to see my knowledge benefit my clients.

Currently, I am gearing up for the seasonal shenanigans. Who is ready for those holiday babies? 🤗
