Supporting nervous system regulation and root-cause health so people stuck in stress, burnout, or chronic symptoms can stop surviving and start living with more capacity, peace, and alignment.

02/15/2026

For decades I have mistaken my own symptoms of Pathological Demand Avoidance (or persistent drive for autonomy) as laziness or flakiness.

But through this discovery about how my nervous system ACTUALLY works, I am uncovering that the disconnect between who I am as a person and what I have been unable to execute is merely a misunderstanding of how I internally operate and is not a deep moral failing on my part.

Now that I know this, I can implement strategies and tools that work WITH my nervous system instead of against it, while also creating those same tools and strategies for my daughter and for others.

This knowledge has been super freeing for me because the strategies I have been trying to implement to make my life easier have been anything but. They have only created a lot of shame and disappointment.

It's important to know that PDA is a nervous system type. It's not something you develop as you age or fall into every once in a while in certain circumstances. It's internal wiring.

Saying you “have PDA sometimes” because you avoid certain things is like saying we have the same operating system because we both downloaded Instagram when you have an iPhone and I have an Android.

Avoidance is a behavior you choose. PDA is hard wiring. The choice is made for you.

And if you're like me, you're slow to catch on. 🤣

And for me, it was so intricately wired into everything that I genuinely believed I was innately flawed because once it took over, I couldn't get out of it on my own.

So if you too are someone who:

– Feels intense internalized resistance to ordinary expectations

– Can do hard things when they’re self-directed, but shut down when they’re imposed

– Procrastinates things you genuinely care about

– Feels a surge of anxiety or agitation when asked to do something, even if you planned to

– Performs well externally while internally battling shutdown

– Thrives on autonomy but collapses under perceived control

– Finds creativity exciting but also threatening

– Can appear capable yet feel chronically “behind” despite working non-stop

– Experiences a fight/flight/freeze response to simple demands

Lately I’ve been going through an undoing.

Not the kind where you eat full pints of Ben & Jerrys on the bathroom floor while emotionally falling apart (no judgment on that though).

But an intentional undoing.

Undoing everything that isn’t working anymore, so that we can build something that DOES work. (Royce is suckered into this process, too)

This comes on the heels of a season where I have been burning the candle at both ends for way too long.
I haven’t been taking care of myself, and it shows. 🥴

My boundaries on a lot of things were (and to some degree still are) not great.

So now we rebuild.

Setting different boundaries.
Implementing new strategies.
Planning and reprioritizing.

As I’m going through it, I can feel my nervous system re-organizing to hold this entirely new reality.

And honestly, the process sucks.

But because this isn’t my first rodeo, I know what’s on the other side, and it’s 100% worth it.

Change is hard. But so is staying right where you are when it’s no longer working for you.

Lord knows this season is asking more of me than I expected, but I know I’m not the only one.

If you’re in the middle of undoing things that once kept you going but no longer support where you’re at or where you’re going, I see you.

The space between here and there is messy.
But the mess is where the most beautiful transformations begin.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't knowing that having a different experience will require change. It's knowing how to take those steps and start moving differently.

That's the work I do with clients. Together we identify old patterns, release the emotions and beliefs preventing the change from happening. And formulate new strategies for the life ahead.

If you're ready for this level of change and you're wanting to start NOW - DM me so that we can create a plan and strategy that works for you.

If you’re looking for outrage bait, I'm sorry but you won’t find it here.

I’ve been trying to figure out what, if anything, to say about what has unfolded in Minneapolis this week. And long story short, 5 year olds don’t need to be detained, children don’t need to be tear gassed in order to apprehend their parents, and Renee Good and Alex Pretti did not deserve to die. It’s really that simple.

That being said, this week I plan to speak to those of you, who like I was, are tired of being stuck on a ride that you never asked to get on.

That’s where my content will live and continue to live - in helping people heal.

Not because I've chosen to be flippant or disengaged. But because I’ve chosen to focus my time and energy where it is best spent.

At home, raising kids to be kind, resourced, and confident no matter what is happening externally.

And in my office, helping people who want to heal.

Holding fast to the prayer that God will continue to restore people’s hearts and minds in this broken and painful world.

So if you too, are struggling to know what you're supposed to be doing or feeling right now, just remember that staying grounded isn't a moral failure, it's the ability to recognize your own capacity without self-abandon.

So cut yourself a little slack. You don't have to attend every party you're invited to. And it doesn't have to mean something about you unless you let it.

With Love,
❤️Jackie

Waking up every day dreading your life isn’t working anymore.

You know something is amiss but the more you keep trying the further you slip into the disenchantment with your environment.

Life doesn’t HAVE to be such a drag. What you need is community and clarity.

Perspective is one of those things that is so incredibly powerful, but is also the first thing that most people completely overlook.

Two people will often look at the exact same scenario and see two totally different circumstances play out.

Neuroplasticity explains that we really are in control of shaping our reality through altering our own perceptions.

How do you think your perceptions have been altering your reality lately? The amount of stress or anxiety you’ve been feeling is often a pretty good indicator of how well your brain and body are coping with your current perceptions.

I’ll toss an anecdote in the comments for reference. ⬇️

It’s not hard to see that I don’t talk a ton about what happens in sessions on social media very often, and after a session I just had, something clicked.
People bring some of their deepest, rawest moments to me and need help sorting them out. That’s not clout content.
So finding ways to share how I work with someone who shows up to a session feeling absolutely beside themselves feels completely disingenuous to the container of safety I’ve worked hard to create.
But I also can’t help more people if I don’t share even parts of it.
I have so many stories of clients going from near rock bottom to absolutely killing it in a matter of weeks.
One-hour aha sessions that have taken someone from borderline crisis to feeling steady and stable, then built on and compounded in the sessions that follow.
I just spent an hour helping someone who was mid full-blown spiral find peace, clarity, and autonomy. They now feel more peaceful and balanced. They know exactly what the root level of the problem was that led them there, and they have a clear strategy for exit and maintenance until our next session.
That’s what I do.
Listening. Identifying. Coaching. And releasing.
Sometimes it’s not about the individual problems solved. It’s about hearing that your problems are solvable.
If you’ve been holding it together but feel close to collapse,
what are you afraid would happen if you stopped holding it all alone?
I am opening a few more spaces for people who are ready for clarity and stabilization.
If you’re not sure where to start, LET’S TALK.

Here’s the thing no one is telling you:
You’re not lazy or broken.
And you probably don’t lack the discipline or desire to make things happen.

You’re just living in chronic misalignment.

When change keeps stalling out, it’s usually because your goals, patterns, and nervous system aren’t working together.

Most people never learn how to see these cycles for what they are. So they keep trying to fix themselves instead of fixing the part that needs work.

There is another way to approach change. One that starts with actually understanding the root cause of why your goals haven’t manifested themselves yet.

Tonight the doors to a FREE community that explains exactly why and how this happens opens tonight.

Join me inside the Alignment Lab to start understanding what you can start doing differently to start turning your pipe dreams into a tangible reality,.
Doors open at 7. Stay tuned for the link.
