My fellow Legion Members, family and friends, I have a major announcement to make. I should be back “roaming/driving these here roads of yours by this weekend. If you seea very clean dark blue Ford Maverick truck, stay clear. It will probably be driving in the left lane of the highway, going 45 mph and on the country roads maybe even slower.
I haven’t been on the road in almost 6 weeks. I am looking forward to seeing you all soon. Darrell, Lori, Dale, Janice and Maragret, except both a phone call and a visit soon. Even the Hart VSO folks are on my traveling plans.

Seeing you soon

No more walker or cane. Got cleared to start driving again. Yet no lifting much over 5 pounds. Last home health visits were yesterday. Next week it’s time for Cardio Therapy in Muskegon.

I just want to thank everyone who gave me a holler and prayer for me.

It’s time to get moving.

And before I forget, our previous Commander Larry F. continues to be a motivator for me. Thank you Sir.

Hey folks, yesterday I got a surprise visitor yesterday. It was Joe, our Commander. It was really good to see him. Had a very good time. We talked about all kinds of things. Including Legion Stuff.

I am looking forward to being able to attend tomorrow night meeting. My sister is bringing me.

I just want to holler out to one of our previous Legion Commanders. Back awhile he came down with some serious medical issues. Never one to complain or make it known. He dealt with it and continues to do so. I just wanted to let him know, that I am praying for him. He needs so much of our help. Larry F. get well soon and hope to see you at the Legion soon

Folks l have been away for a number of days, taking care of some important issues. Some of you may even know.

Here goes. I have been in the hospital in Muskegon since the 4th. Major Heart surgery and some unexpected complications caused some additional work. I was in ICU, until yesterday afternoon and finally was released to come home today.

During that time, i was visted by one of Navy Heroes, from the Feather Party. There you go Lori I said it. Lol.

My sister , Ladyfriend and my niece from northern Minnesota were just a partial part of a wonderful support group. Thank you all.

Just after arriving home, my other brother Darrell, called and requested to come over for a very short visit. He arrived with both a basket filled with goodies and a special cooking grill type basket. Thank you both. Lori even included a nice get well card. Promising me, that I have 5 minutes to speak. Bill?

I return home with serious travel restrictions from my doctor. Only to travel to Medical Appointments for a while.
I am getting tired, so I will have to close for now.

Again thank you all for the prayers and offer support

We just noticed that the Pizza Factory, thanked us, on line today. It was for the Gift Basket that our Commander presented to them this afternoon. We truly appreciate their hospitality during our recent Fundraising Event and look forward to working together again later this year.

So pretty good folks there.

Hello my friends and fellow Veterans. Just a few friendly words after our most recent Legion Meeting today.

First off, our previous Comnander is finally safe at home tonight. While he gets his strength back, he currently wishes no visitors at this time. Contact our current commander, Joe Mackey, to see when that might change.

Concerning the normal meeting , we accomplished getting some things in the planning stage for the new year . We spoke about the upcoming Memorial Day Speaker , Poppy Drive and finding out exactly about how we might start getting the Legion Building in better shape .

We also had a undisclosed donor , provide some much needed $ funding , too our Women’s Veterans group , who support a Women’s only Retreat in the summer /early fall . Keep it growing Lori.

We still have cases of bottled water in the shed . Holler if you want some . It’s all free .

The Jeep has finally been returned to the folks , who were nice enough to loan it to us . Many thanks .

Brian was once again Thanked for working with the Pizza Factory , for our recent Legion Fundraising event . He did Great .
Also, while not in attendance to, Craig was given a shout out , for getting so many folks in Donating both $ and prizes . Great job Navy Guy . And just think , he’s older than I and he has so much energy . Wow . It must be the Water .

In closing for now and yes I have kept my words to only be 3.5 minutes long .

Good night
