Career Lotería is an interactive networking event hosted by La Casa and SACNAS that reimagines Lotería as a guided professional connection activity.

Instead of numbers, each card represents a career path, role, or identity (research, healthcare, law, advocacy, industry, first-gen, leadership, and more). Participants move around the room, start conversations, and write down the names of people they connect with for each prompt.

This event is designed to:
• Encourage low-pressure networking
• Build community across disciplines
• Highlight diverse career paths for Latine and STEM-focused students

🎉 Prizes for completed rows
🤝 Open networking encouraged
🍽️ Food & drinks provided

Join us THIS TUESDAY, JANUARY 20TH at 5 PM for a cross-community potluck where we’ll talk about our shared struggles against ICE and immigration violence! After the potluck, we’ll be walking together to a mass Immigration Defense Town Hall at 6 PM (RSVP REQUIRED) to brainstorm ways we can organize together across undergrads, grad students, and U-M staff!

In the wake of U-M’s decision to fire 3 international graduate workers and terminate their SEVIS statuses, resulting in their detention by ICE, we are coming together to demand better protections for international and undocumented persons! Share your voice with us, enjoy food, and talk with student orgs, worker unions, and community groups across U-M about how we can FIGHT AGAINST ICE!
