ARE FEAR AND LACK OF CONFIDENCE KEEPING YOU FROM FULLY ENJOYING YOUR RIDING?

I have decided to host a small, intimate Zoom conversation — limited to 20 riders — to talk openly about why so many of us struggle with fear and confidence in the saddle, and why traditional approaches may not give us the full picture.

We’ll explore a different way of looking at this — one rooted in better understanding your nervous system, and how we can work with it in practical ways. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and see if this approach resonates with you.

This is meant to be a real conversation, not a lecture. I want to hear from you. Come curious and with questions.

If the work I teach feels like it might be a fit for you, I’ll share two options for going deeper together. If not, you’ll still leave with a fresh perspective on what might be getting in the way of your progress.

Space is limited to 20 people. To reserve your spot, simply reach out to me directly.

Date: May 19th 7:30 Eastern

I am slowly working at updating my website, and adding a section on how this work is helping people rebuild confidence in the saddle.

Getting feedback like this is incredibly rewarding. ❤️

"There was a time when I thought I would never truly enjoy riding again. Now I look forward to riding and know that fear isn’t something I need to ignore or push through. And while I started working with Leah to specifically address my fear with riding, improving body awareness, ease of movement, and vision, vestibular and proprioceptive systems can’t help but trickle into all aspects of life."

"I have experienced positive changes in all areas and not just around horses and in the saddle. It was incredible to be riding some challenging terrain and cantering in Portugal feeling safe. I felt my nervous system immediately begin to regulate from the very first session. I found the sessions tiring and sometimes experienced a little nausea but at the same time would actually sleep that night. I am able to keep relaxed around horses and have an appropriate reflex when things happen, I am also more balanced and co–ordinated when spooks happen, able to move with the horse or get out of the way easily. "

Excited to continue to expand my education and toolkit to offer more resources for riders. 🐎🏇

The last 6 months I have been working with a small group of horsewomen who were curious if this work could help them with overcoming fear and anxiety, especially for most of them after an accident where they were injured. They committed to spending months meeting together on Zoom, both as a group and in private sessions and in applying the work, they were looking to see what changes they might notice. I've been waiting to share more about the experience once I had all the feedback forms in. But in a conversation, I had with someone this morning. She made this comment after a second very successful ride and it summed up a lot to me of how this work can be so powerful for people.

-----"It is so empowering!! It feels amazing to have control over my responses and movements and not feel hijacked by old patterns that only make the situation worse!" Julie E-Lovely-----

Dealing with fear and anxiety, especially after an injury can obviously be a complex problem and not one that can be quickly overcome or simply resolved with one method or technique. But the changes and results we've seen from people really applying this work has kind of blown my mind. 🧠🙃

I recently finished a certification course, dealing, largely with the neurology of behavior change. To say it was fascinating is an understatement. Obviously this is a very deep and complex topic, and I’m not in any way pretending that this post is a comprehensive exploration of this topic. People...

New blog post. Do you struggle to apply what you learn in lessons? Ever feel like you often go over the same skills in lessons, not making the progress you hoped. This might be a missing piece ⬇️⏬⏬ If you enjoyed the blog subscribe and receive a free article. 😊

Anytime we are learning a new skill we need lessons and training. Good instruction matters. Riding, good riding, is a skill, an art. To do it well we need lessons, coaching, guidance. Lessons give us structure and the kind of feedback we can’t always see or feel on our own. But… there’s a diff...
