Been a minute as work, school, illnesses and the general state of the world has weighed heavy. Feeling some better after a bug last week and for resources to buy and prepare nourishing foods. And a big thank you to who has provided support —so much knowledge, care & wisdom throughout hormone changes, imbalances and sleep struggles 🙏🏻🙏🏻.

Action, Awareness & Stillness.

Growth comes from action—movement, taking tangible steps into behavior change. Growth can also come from stillness—sitting with whatever is present. Transformation is anchored in awareness. It is with increased awareness that we gain the power of choice, action or stillness, wisely navigating what will truly serve.

​Join me for a special class this New Year’s Eve from 10:00-11:30am to explore awareness, action and stillness through Hatha yoga, journaling, breathwork and meditation.

​We will begin our Hatha practice by grounding, creating stability (awareness). Our breath will support a balancing of our nervous system before moving our bodies (action) to ignite energy and creativity onto our blank canvas, bringing curiosity to what unfolds. Relaxation and mediation will provide space (stillness). Journaling prompts create an opportunity for recognition, insight, and acceptance for whatever we choose.

​What to expect: An interactive, flowing, all-levels Hatha practice that includes Sun Salutations(variations offered), hip openers, accessible balance postures, breath work, and seated meditation. Please have a journal, or notebook, and a pen.

Nourishing salad after over indulging the last week on Halloween candy (hey, it happens 😇🤣).

Green Goddess chicken salad on kale with olive oil/lemon juice, purple carrot, raw pistachios, walnuts & pecans.

We have choices every day. It’s not about beating ourselves up for previous choices, but making an intentional choice with what is in front of you.

Abundance, Gratitude & New Classes Coming!

Abundance: a very large quantity of something.

My 3-year-old self embodied abundance, gratitude, and being enough. What happened along the way?

This weekend in classes we explored a mindset of abundance, coming from from a place of enough rather than a place of scarcity or lack. We talked about our patterns and stories, the culture of “you need this,” “you need that,” “this will make you whole and happy” — the presumption that in some way we are less than, and we practice that mindset daily, surrounded by reaffirming messages everywhere we turn.

But what if we paused and decided to practice a different mindset? What if we recognize all that we have (gratitude)? What if we stay open to the riches of of our lives—relationships, how our body can move today, who we are today, what we have lived through and survived that has made us who we are today? What if we practiced cultivating and feeling abundance in our bodies? What if we boldly and radically accepted that we are enough?

We know what happiness feel like. We know what anger feels like. We know what sadness feels like. Do we know, deeply, what abundance feels like? There is a sliver of a memory within us, perhaps long ago, before we were told we weren’t enough by (you fill in the blank), and the images that surround us, when we were just enough as we are—lost in the moment to moment of life. Can we reclaim that? I believe, with practice, we can.

Breath and gratitude practices can help shift our nervous system, and practice a different mindset.
