Where are my gardening friends at?!?

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather we had yesterday and planted some seeds. Trying to be proactive this year and get a jump start on our garden.

This year we're going to attempt to plant Carrots, Peppers, Spinach, Buttercrunch lettuce, Radishes, Cantaloupe, Cucumber, Watermelon, Green beans & Cauliflower.

We also have our strawberry and blueberry plants from last year. Fingers crossed they come back this year and I didn't kill them. 🤞😁

So excited to see what turns out this. Last year was our first year with a raised bed garden. And I learned so much from trial and error. So this year is bound to be better.

It's was a busy couple days getting our Christmas tree and decorating the house. I love our little tradition of getting a real tree every year after Thanksgiving. And the kids just love putting all the ornaments on the tree. 🎄
Feelings so good to have a real tree for our first Christmas in our new home. Last year we were still in an apartment during Christmas so fake tree it was. But not this year!

7 sweet years with you baby boy and they have been some of the best years.
You are kind, a sweetheart, and a friend to all. You give the best hugs and I love that you'll still snuggle with me!
You have grown so much in the last year and we can't wait to see where this year takes.

Maddie's 5 years old today!!🥳
Happy Birthday sweet girl! Your spunky, sassy, type A personality always has us on our toes. We have enjoyed watching you grow into the little lady you are. And can't wait to see the growth you're going to have this next year in kindergarten connections (Pre-K).
Mommy, daddy and Lucas love you to the moon and back! 🥰

"Some things are just out of our control."
Two weeks ago I went to Portland for an embryo transfer. Full of excitement that we (the intended parent and I) were going to get happy news and start the 9 month journey of pregnancy to patenthood for them.
This last week was full of heartache and sadness. My HCG level started at 34 which is a positive pregnancy, however it began to decrease on Monday to 21 and then 6 on Wednesday.
I was very sad and feeling defeated on Monday (8/3/20) as this was our second transfer. I felt like my body was failing me. Like maybe I did something wrong. When really I did everything I was supposed to do.
That's the thing, some things are out of our control. We created the perfect environment for the embryos but what happens afterwards is out of our control. I had what they call a chemical pregnancy.
When on this journey of surrogacy and IVF you kinda expect it to just work and when it doesn't... it's so hard. I will do it all again if that's what my intended parent would like to do. I feel very strongly that surrogacy is something I'm supposed to do. 🌈♥️

This is 36 and I'm here for it!!
I'm blessed to have had another year around the sun. And I look forward to whatever is in store for the coming year.
Thank you everyone for the happy birthday messages. They really mean a lot to me!

Happy 13th Anniversary babe!!
It's crazy to think that we've been doing this thing called life together for the last 17 years.... 13 of them in martial bliss. 😘
Just when we think we got it figured out we always seem to take a left turn and make things crazy and interesting again... And I love it!!
Excited for the adventures to come! Loved you yesterday, love you today, love you always!! 🥰

Happy Easter!! 🐰
We had a fun filled day. First we searched for our Easter baskets using clues. Then we colored some eggs and made some cookies.
Been in our new home just over 2 months now and I love all the memories we've been making.🥰 @ Annandale, Minnesota

11 days post transfer.

Transfer day!! It felt like it took so long to get there. But now we're already 11 days post transfer. Lab results from Friday confirmed a positive pregnancy! However, my beta HCG level was only at 12. The clinic likes to see it around 30 on the first lab test after transfer.
I go back in tomorrow morning for another lab appointment to check my beta HCG level again. It should double every 2 days. So we are hoping to see a HCG around 40. But as long as it's increasing then we are on the right track. We don't want no change or a decrease. Both of those wouldn't be a good sign.
I'm doing everything I'm supposed to and my stabilizing hormones are right where they need to be.
Fingers crossed that this little embryo is attaching and growing and we have a higher HCG level tomorrow. 💕
