Joy is part of the work.

Many women were taught to be responsible, strong, and self-sacrificing, but not necessarily to live in joy.

For me, joy is part of my recipe for a healthy relationship with myself.

A big part of my joy is dancing and music. Whether I am in the dance classroom with my students, at a party, or at a business expo and music starts playing, I find myself dancing. Joy can show up anywhere.

So here is your reminder: you are allowed to feel good in your life.

Ask yourself: what helps you feel alive? Do more of that. Make it part of your recipe for joy.

And by the way… you do not have to earn your joy. ❤️

“You can become the safety you needed.”

This image represents that idea.

AI helped me create this picture by combining a photo of me now with one from when I was around 10 years old. Seeing us hug brought up so many emotions.

We usually don’t leave our childhood needs behind. We carry them.

Becoming the safety you needed doesn’t mean erasing the past or blaming anyone.
It means learning how to show up for yourself now in the ways you didn’t always receive back then.

It looks like:
• speaking to yourself with kindness
• honoring your feelings instead of minimizing them
• setting boundaries that protect your peace
• allowing rest, support, and softness

That younger part of you is still there, sometimes quietly influencing how you love, how you cope, and how you see yourself.

Inner child work isn’t about blaming the past.
It’s about finally listening.

Listening to what was missing.
Honoring what you survived.
And offering yourself what you didn’t receive back then.

Sometimes, healing can look like becoming the safety you always needed.

Save this for the moments you need the reminder.
Share it with someone who might appreciate this information 🤍

Your emotions aren’t problems to fix.
They’re information to listen to.
The invitation isn’t to feel less, but to feel more, wisely.
This changes how you show up in relationships, leadership, and life.

💬 Save this if you need the reminder.
🔁 Share with someone who’s always “trying to be fine.”

I talk all about this in a chapter I wrote for We Lead, Volume 3. A collaborative book with .lady.coach.
Thank you to the publisher,
Thank you and on this video and also authors in this book.
