COMMENT POLICY

While we encourage followers to share thoughts and opinions on the AAHealthEquity page, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner.

The DOH does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our pages. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our page. Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:
- Hate speech
- Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
- Nudity in profile pictures
- Defamation to a person or people
- Name calling and/or personal attacks
- Comments with the main purpose to sell a product
- Comments that infringe on copyrights
- Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile
- Comments that contain sensitive medical information
- Links to non-federal sites and web pages that have outdated or misleading health information
- Other comments that the Department deems inappropriate. All links posted as comments will be reviewed and may be deleted. Repeated violations of this comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from the AAHealthEquity page. We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.

Our "Expungement Expo" will be held next Friday, May 1! This free resource fair will help connect community members to resources while also providing an afternoon of free food and refreshments, live music, onsite access to service providers, health activities, games, and giveaways.

The Expungement Expo will be held at 700 Newtowne Drive from 3 to 6 p.m. Come join the Naptown Anti-Dope MoveMeant, the Newtowne CDC, the City of Annapolis Office of Community Services, NO HARM, the Maryland Department of Labor, Community Legal Services, and more!

Summer Internship Information

Are you a resident of Annapolis between 14 and 24 years old? Apply for a PAID summer internship with the City of Annapolis!. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a variety of career areas, while gaining an inside perspective on how municipal government works for Annapolis residents.

Young adolescents between the ages of 14 and 16 are eligible for our apprenticeship and training program. Trainees will develop knowledge and skills through a daily series of workshops, excursions, assignments, meetings and visits to various facilities.

Young adults between the ages of 17 and 24 can apply for a paid work experience position in one of our municipal departments, within the career area of their choice.
