SERMON RECAP: Redeeming the Time
Have you ever looked back at your life and thought, “Where did the time go?”
Maybe you feel like you should be further along by now. Maybe you spent years doing what you thought was best, only to end up feeling stuck, drained, or like you have nothing to show for it.
You’re not alone. We all hit moments where we wonder if we missed it, messed up too much, or wasted too much time to turn things around. But here’s the truth I had the honor to share:
The Bible says It’s not too late.
God is not done with you. Even if life didn’t go the way you hoped. Even if you walked away from what you were called to do. Even if you feel like you’ve lost time or made too many mistakes, God can still restore what was lost.
We talked about how sometimes it feels like life has eaten up your energy, your hope, or your potential. Like one setback after another has just stripped away everything you were working toward. That can leave you feeling empty, discouraged, or even numb.
But the message from Joel 2 reminds us that God sees all of that. He sees the tiredness, the broken dreams, the confusion. And still, He says, “Come back to me. I can give you back what you lost.”
This isn’t just about getting things. It’s about getting your joy back. Your peace. Your confidence. Your faith.
And if anyone tries to throw your past in your face, remember what Romans 8 says: There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. If God is not holding your past against you, then you don’t have to either.
You are not disqualified. You are not too late. You are not too far gone.
Surround yourself with people who speak life into you. Let go of the guilt. Stop counting the years you lost and start trusting God to use everything, even the messy stuff, for good.
You still have time. You still have purpose. And God is still able.
If you want to go straight to the sermon, it starts around the 1 hour and 7 minute mark.
