Garden hack incoming 🌿

I’m building my Vego elevated garden bed using the hugelkultur method, turning what I already have into rich soil over time. Never thought I’d stomp leaves like grapes, but I don’t have a lawn mower in the middle of the city.

Right now it’s just leaves… and two tiny strawberry plants 🍓. No soil yet, but starting in February feels like a promise to spring.

✨ My style is evolving. From clean, modern lines to a cozy, antique-filled organic cottage feel.

This cabinet is over 100 years old, and now it holds my pottery, treasured books, and everyday beauty. It’s handmade, practical, and full of story.

I received a little surprise this week.
I was featured in Feedspot’s 2026 list of Top Knitting Influencers for 2026.

I am # 22 among so many designers I admire, many with much larger platforms. It reminded me that slow, intentional work still reaches people.

Thank you for being here and for caring about handmade, sustainability, and thoughtful living. This is because of you. 🤍

I thrifted this vintage Waverly “Forever Yours” screen-printed cotton twill and turned it into bed shams. The kind you cannot buy. Thoughtful details, French seams, and olive topstitching that quietly ties into the rest of the room.

This is what sustainable making looks like to me.
Saving materials. Honoring craft. Creating something that lasts.

If you love slow interiors, handmade details, and layered homes, follow along.
And tell me, what is the most meaningful piece you have made or found?

Dream marketplace find.
My dining nook held a marble tulip table.
I loved it so much, but it was mid century modern.
Then I found this antique barley twist gateleg table.
And everything shifted.
The room feels warmer.More grounded.More table surface for friends.
Do you agree?

A sick day soup.

I cooked this udon noodle soup without measurements, just using what I had and adjusting as I went. Onion, red pepper, garlic, dino kale, baby bok choy, sriracha-marinated tofu, veggie broth, tamari, crushed red pepper, udon noodles, lemon, salt, and black pepper. After a taste, I realized it needed a little agave to balance the umami.

Slow, nourishing, and exactly what I needed today.

Do you cook intuitively too? I used to hate when my mom taught me to cook without measurements. Somewhere along the way, I became my mom, and I am grateful for it. 💚🌿

Let’s look at my loafer collection. 👞

Some thrifted, some vintage, some gifted, and some bought new because I knew I’d wear them for years.

🪴French Courtyard Meets California Garden 🪴

We’re slowly shaping my tiny courtyard into a kitchen garden inspired by the French countryside. 🌿
Free finds, well worn wood, terracotta, and a lot of figuring things out as I go. I found this wooden table on Facebook Marketplace and brought it back to life with a little cleaning, patience, and problem solving.

What matters most to me is that this space feels cozy, organic, and lived in. Not perfect. Just intentional.

Next up is building a raised bed so I can start growing more food right here at home.

Does this feel like the beginning of a French inspired courtyard to you too?
