🧬 It's easy to blame genetics when it comes to your health!

In most cases, genetics play a much smaller role than you might think.

For instance, your personality is heavily impacted by these 3 things as well:

Diet can have a huge impact on your personality.

Food doesn't just fuel your body; it influences your brain, mood, and even your ability to be fully present with confidence and energy.

Why?

> 90% of serotonin (your “feel-good hormone”) is produced in your gut

> Chronic inflammation—driven by sugar and processed foods—is causing that brain fog and bad mood

> The nutrients your inflamed gut can't absorb are essential for emotional resilience.

What you eat creates the foundation for great health.

You know, it was decades ago now . . .

But my grandpa used to say that fruits and vegetables aren’t as nutrient dense as they used to be.

He was a very smart man, even had a doctorate in chemistry and in soils, and did quite a bit of farming.

And now, I’m afraid it’s just gotten worse.

Partly due to depleted soil and not rotating crops well.

Produce also gets picked too early and travels long distances. ✈️

And the growing process has to contend with pesticides and other toxins. 🧪

So, when buying produce in season, do your best to buy local:

▶️ find a farmers market

▶️ a natural grocery store with local produce

▶️ also do your best to find produce grown in the country you live in, and not grown far away from where you live (less travel time)

If out of season:

You may still be able to follow some of the same rules for buying in season depending on where you live.

▶️ Buying frozen could be a better option.

AND...always (even in season)

Pay attention to the clean fifteen and dirty dozen from EWG’s list.

EWG or the “Environmental Working Group” does their best to come up with the foods that are grown with the most pesticides (dirty dozen) and the least amount of pesticides (clean fifteen).

1 Avocados

2 Sweet corn

3 Pineapple

4 Onions

5 Papaya

6 Sweet peas (frozen)

7 Asparagus
