Our personalized approach ensures your body gets the care it needs to feel restored and balanced. Kayla St. Marie, owner of Ropana Wellness, is a licensed massage therapist, certified personal trainer, and certified yoga teacher. Kayla was working in the health and wellness industry for five years prior to becoming a massage therapist. Her specialties are complementary health care modalities designed to help, not hinder, individuals. Kayla emphasizes that we rely on the body’s own ability to heal itself, instead of relying on pharmaceutical drug therapies. In ayurvedic literature "Ropana" translates to ‘healing wounds’ or ‘the ability to heal oneself'. Kayla is skilled at providing deep tissue techniques, neuromuscular therapy, assisted stretching and sports massage for pain relief and to help sore muscles recover faster. She works with all ages and every client receives an integrated and customized treatment plan that addresses their individual needs and treatment goals.

The Jaw–Pelvis Connection
What does your jaw have to do with your hips?
More than most people realize.

Your jaw (TMJ) and your pelvis are connected through a deep fascial and muscular line that runs along the front of your body. When the jaw is chronically tight, clenched, or overactive, the muscles of the pelvic floor often respond by tightening as well. And when the pelvic floor is holding tension or struggling to coordinate properly, the neck and jaw frequently try to compensate.

This is why you might experience:
• Neck pain that never quite resolves
• Pelvic floor tension or discomfort
• Low back or hip pain that keeps coming back
• Clenching + grinding, especially with stress
• A sense of “holding” or bracing in the body

The body is always communicating — and sometimes it speaks in patterns.

At Ropana Wellness, we work with those patterns, not against them.
Through therapeutic massage, myofascial work, breath coordination, and nervous system calming, we address the jaw–pelvis connection to help the body soften and reorganize from the inside out.

Restoring ease in one area can create relief in the other.
Because your body isn’t separate pieces — it’s one intelligent system.

✨ If you’re dealing with neck tension, pelvic floor dysfunction, hip pain, or jaw clenching — we can support you.

Infrared Sauna + Chromotherapy
A restorative combination of light, heat, and healing.

Infrared sauna therapy gently warms the body from within—encouraging detoxification, improving circulation, easing joint and muscle pain, and supporting natural recovery without the stifling heat of a traditional sauna. The infrared wavelengths pe*****te deeply, promoting tissue repair and overall cellular health.

To enhance your session, each sauna includes chromotherapy (color light therapy) — the use of specific light wavelengths that interact with the body on a cellular level to support various healing responses.

Light colors + therapeutic benefits:
🔴 Red Light – Stimulates circulation, promotes collagen production, and supports muscle recovery.
🟠 Orange Light – Aids in respiratory health and boosts energy by supporting metabolic function.
🟡 Yellow Light – Encourages lymphatic flow and digestive health while helping to purify the skin.
💚 Green Light – Balances the nervous and endocrine systems; supports inflammation reduction.
🔵 Blue Light – Antibacterial and cooling; beneficial for skin health and calming inflammation.
🟣 Violet Light – Assists with cellular regeneration, detoxification, and immune support.

Together, infrared and chromotherapy create a multi-layered therapeutic experience that supports recovery, detoxification, and full-body rejuvenation.

Now available at Ropana Wellness.
Step into the warmth, breathe deeply, and let the light work in your favor.

Dealing with low back pain or muscle strain?

Low back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek massage therapy — and for good reason.
Muscle tension, postural imbalance, or repetitive strain can create ongoing discomfort that limits movement and impacts daily life.
Clinical massage helps by releasing tight muscles, improving circulation to injured tissue, and restoring proper alignment and mobility.
Over time, this kind of focused bodywork helps retrain the body to move with less pain and more ease.
If your low back has been speaking up lately — listen.
Book a therapeutic session at Ropana Wellness and start giving your body the support it’s been asking for.

Shoulder & Neck Tension (desk/posture related)

Neck and shoulder tension is one of the most common patterns we see in the studio — often from hours spent at a desk, driving, or on a phone.
Over time, that chronic tightness can lead to headaches, nerve irritation, or restricted mobility.
Targeted massage techniques help release deep muscular holding patterns, improve circulation, and rebalance the upper body so you can move freely again.
If your shoulders feel like they’re “wearing your stress,” it’s time to reset.
Book your session at Ropana Wellness and experience the difference clinical massage can make.

The Ancient Art of Cupping Therapy at Ropana Wellness

Cupping therapy is an ancient healing practice with roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Egyptian, and Middle Eastern cultures. By using gentle suction to lift the skin and underlying tissues, it promotes blood flow, releases muscle tension, and supports the body’s natural detoxification process.

How it works:
Cups create a vacuum that draws stagnant blood and waste to the surface, allowing fresh circulation to move back in. This process helps relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and speed up recovery.

Who can benefit:
• Athletes with chronic muscle tightness or fatigue
• Individuals with neck, shoulder, or back pain
• Those managing stress, headaches, or poor circulation

Why try it:
Cupping can improve mobility, reduce soreness, and promote deep relaxation. Many clients describe it as both grounding and deeply restorative.

At Ropana Wellness, we incorporate cupping into massage sessions when it best supports your body’s unique needs — helping you move and feel your best from the inside out.
