- breasts change throughout your feeding journey

It’s not your fault if breastfeeding or bottle feeding aren’t going well.

I love discharging babies 🥹

I mean, I hate it because I miss them once they’re gone, but I love it because it means they’re on their way to growing happy & healthy, and their parents are on their way to more memorable and meaningful mealtimes together 💛

Did your mom ever tell you “not everything on the internet is true”?

Somehow we forget that when it comes to fb groups or any online forum (hi, speaking to myself here 😅).

There’s absolutely no shame in asking for advice, but keep in mind that even if you list your whole medical history, you’re getting opinions from people who don’t *truly* know you. That’s why it’s so important to know your circle and stick to those people for a real-life, helpful answer.

I’ve had many moms come to me and tell me about the internet rabbit hole they found themselves in at 2am. And let me tell you, it’s never been helpful 🙅🏻‍♀️

You know your baby and child better than Betty from fb, or your distant aunt twice-removed.

If you have feeding concerns, consult your pediatrician, SLP, IBCLC, etc… and leave online forums for viewing purposes only. 👀

Trying to wrap my head around being named Best Of the Valley!

You - the families I serve - are the best in the entire world. Thank you for trusting me with your kids, your babies. Thank you for letting me into your homes and trusting me with the hard stuff. No one tells you that feeding your baby or child can be so difficult. Being able to guide your children (and you) through all the challenges, frustrations, doubts, and celebrations is the honor of my life. 💛

I also want to take a moment to recognize the gals at The Center for Perinatal Mental Health, who were in the Top 3 with me but I’m sharing #1 with. These women are incredible people and clinicians. They make me more trauma informed and add such depth to my clinical counseling skills. I’m so grateful to share an office with them, learn from them, and collaborate toward the same mission. They deserve to be recognized for all they do! 🫶🏻
