Another passion of mine is empowering people to have the birth experience they want! I also strive to help people during the pregnancy process when aches and pains arise. It has been so fun seeing patients from first trimester to birth to post partum recovery! When we are done with labor prep training clients get a little goodie bag of items to make their hospital/ birthing center stay a little more comfortable! Can you guess what is inside?!?!

Helping patients with persistent pelvic pain is one of my passions. I’ve been doing a deep dive into the benefits of red light therapy and I’m excited to say that soon I will have it in the clinic as another tool to help patients with pain management! Yay! Notice I didn’t say get rid of it but manage it. If any healthcare practitioner says without a doubt they can cure you of your pain RUN the other way!! There are definitely amazing tools in our toolbox that can influence pain and reduce pain but unfortunately there is no one answer for how to “fix pain” When it comes right down, one of the things we are confident about is that pain is multifaceted. We will be taking a closer look at what that means next post so

I just listened to an AMAZING podcast from on the new book . In the podcast she interviews the amazing authors Emily and Amelia Nygoski on their research into stress and how stressors effect our bodies. For the next few days I’m going to post concrete ways on how you can break the stress cycle according to the research they did.

First up: physical activity! This may seem common sense to us but research shows that physical activity helps us complete the stress cycle which in turn helps us get stress out of our bodies.

Stay tuned for more ways to especially if physical activity and exercise just aren’t your jam.

If you just can’t wait for the answer go listen to the podcast! 😊
