✨ 2025 in a Nutshell ✨

Wow, what a year it was—both in life and in business! Personally, I learned how to ski (yes, I survived the slopes 😅), spent countless hours cheering at my kids basketball, baseball, and soccer games, soaked up the sun for a week in the Outer Banks, discovered the magic that is an affogato, went paddleboarding as much as I could, camped under the stars, and cherished so much time with family and friends. I also had the joy of teaching a high school Public Speaking co-op class for my kids and the local homeschool community, which was such a fun way to connect with amazing students and watch them grow.

On the doula side of things, 2025 was full of awe-inspiring moments and so magnificently busy. I had the privilege of supporting 17 amazing families—12 boys, 5 girls, and 3 incredible breech babies (2 brought into the world via c-section and 1 born right at home!). I also partnered with fellow doulas for 6 of these births. Every birth reminded me of the extraordinary strength, resilience, and love that families carry into the world. It’s humbling and incredible to witness.

I’m beyond grateful for the families who welcomed me into their lives and for the moments of growth, laughter, tears, and triumph that make this work so meaningful. Here’s to continuing to celebrate life, love, and all the little miracles in 2026! 💛

This is a great idea! There's nothing I love more than seeing a community come together to support each other.

A local recipe book from Southern Adirondack Midwifery would be a great postpartum tool!

Nourishing, balanced meals matter deeply during pregnancy and postpartum. They support healing, energy, milk supply, and overall well-being. And when those meals can be prepared ahead of time, they become a true gift during the tender early weeks. 😴 👶🏻

There is so much wisdom in lived experience, and when moms share with other moms, especially new ones, it can be incredibly encouraging and empowering. 🥰

This short and sweet class offered by Albany Family Life Center would be so informative and helpful for all these early on questions! The care provider and place you choose to birth your baby will make a huge impact on your experience in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

It has been a busy, busy season for our family! We've had 5 kiddos playing soccer, it's a joy to watch them all play, improve, and build friendships.

Births have been in full swing too! I got the privilege of being present for 2 second time moms as they welcomed little siblings. One baby was born earlier than mom and dad wanted but is home now and all is well. Another beautiful family welcomed their first, a baby girl. This month kicks off a handful of births to the end of the year, amazing moms and dads who are working hard to prepare themselves for what's to come!

Thriving in absolute chaos and loving it... For the most part!

This is great! Just a quick course on how to get your baby into a good position for a smooth labor and delivery. Movement is so important throughout, so this would be another great tool to add!
