💜 Please help us welcome Dr. Meredith Martin-Johnston to the Northwest Women’s Consultants family! She’s looking forward to caring for our wonderful patients.

Meredith Martin-Johnston, DO, is a dynamic obstetrician and gynecologist (OB-GYN) with over twenty (20) years of experience and a passion for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She is Board-Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology with a practice focus in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Dr. Johnston specializes in minimally invasive procedures and advanced laparoscopy for the management of chronic pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, uterine
fibroids, endometriosis, and heavy menstrual bleeding. In particular, Dr. Johnston specializes in the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic discomfort, and uterine fibroids. This includes ablation of uterine fibroids using the Acessa device to avoid a hysterectomy. This "outside the box" thinking has allowed patients better outcomes, less time in the hospital and the chance to save their uterus.
She has perfected her surgery skills to be one of the top robotic and laparoscopic surgeons in the country. According to Intuitive Surgical statistics, Dr. Johnston is in the top 10% of all Da Vinci Robot procedures performed across America in terms of time.
She is also a teacher/proctor for Hologic, a leading women's medical equipment company, teaching fellow physicians surgery skills in the Midwest and nationwide.
In terms of obstetrics, Dr. Johnston will work with you to deliver compassionate, personalized care throughout your pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Listening first is the foundation of her care plan for you and your newborn. She will ensure a personalized care plan is developed and meets a patient's healthcare goals for obstetrical care. And because she has had twins herself, Dr.
Johnston has a strong patient following for delivering twins and twin mothers.
Dr. Johnston graduated medical school from Nova Southeastern University College of
Osteopathic Medicine achieving both her medical degree and Masters of Public Health degree in 2005. She returned to her home town completing residency in 2009 at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Lakeview Chicago. When not caring for patients, Dr. Martin-Johnston enjoys spending time with her husband, three teenage daughters, including her twins and two dogs, Fiona and Lilo.

We are saddened to inform you that Dr. Randy McCool has announced his retirement.
A message from Dr. McCool:
I would like to let all my patients know that I will be retiring from my obstetrics and gynecology practice at Northwest Women’s Consultants as of August 5, 2024.
It has been an honor and a privilege to be of service caring for my patients and their families as well as working alongside the providers and staff members at NWWC for the past 16 years.
I am thankful for the many memories that those years have given me.
The providers and staff at NWWC are available to continue your health care needs in the empathetic and knowledgeable manner that I have always tried to extend to you.

A message from Dr. Anna Hegge:

I would like to let all of my patients know that I will be leaving Northwest Women's Consultants in June. I have decided to transition to a hospital based position that will allow me to spend more time with my growing family. I will greatly miss all of the wonderful physicians, staff, and patients at NWWC and NCH. It has been an honor to be a part of this fantastic organization over the past five years. Thank you to my patients for letting me be a part of your care. If I can offer a recommendation for another provider or if you have any questions, please contact me over the next few weeks.

🌟Exciting Announcement🌟

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce a fantastic addition to our practice, Nicole Quigley, MS,CNM,APN.

Nicole Quigley, MS, CNM, APN received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Elmhurst College in 1999. She began her nursing career at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park where she worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse for 4 years. While there she had the good fortune of working with Certified Nurse Midwives and knew that was the path she wanted to pursue. Nicole graduated in 2003 from the Institute of Midwifery, Women, and Health and Philadelphia University where she earned a Certificate in Midwifery and a Masters of Science, emphasis in Midwifery. She has been certified with the American Midwifery Certification Board since 2003.

For more than 20 years Nicole has been providing Obstetric and Gynecology care from adolescence to menopause, in the office and hospital setting. She cherishes the relationships she has built with women and their families during that time and now has the privilege to care for some of the babies she delivered at the beginning of her career. Women's health has always been her passion and feels that active listening is the greatest tool in helping women to empower themselves in their health and wellbeing. In addition to her time in this field, she notes her own life experiences on the road to and in motherhood have helped her become a more well rounded provider. Nicole strives to be a calm, compassionate presence during the labor and delivery experience, and respects and supports each person's own birth preference. She is thrilled to continue to provide care at Northwest Community Hospital and excited to work with the respected providers at NWWC. When she is not at work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and their extended family and friends. She enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and running.

We are thrilled to introduce Allison Corro, our outstanding new Physician Assistant, joining our healthcare family! With a wealth of knowledge and compassion, Allison is here to enhance your healthcare experience. Welcome aboard, Allison!

Allison Corro, PA-C, M.S., is a certified Physician Assistant who provides comprehensive preventive, gynecological and obstetrical care to women of all ages. Allison completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Chicago, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science for her Master’s of Science and Physician Assistant Studies and now teaches graduate level courses for the program. After graduation, Allison served in the National Health Service Corps helping the medically underserved in a Family Practice setting, and has loved her transition into Women’s Health in 2013. She enjoys working with patients to improve their sexual health, chronic pelvic pain, menopausal symptoms, and overall wellness, exploring the best evidence-based medical options as well as avant-garde treatments. She has 3 children and outside of enjoying their plethora of activities, she enjoys biking and hiking the outdoors with her husband, gardening, and reading.
