Oh my goodness! How teeny tiny is a newborn's stomach?!?! Sweet babes only need about 1-1.5 tsp. at a time for the first few days of their lives. This is when the "liquid gold" colostrum is so beneficial. It is nutrient-packed and gives the tiny humans EXACTLY what they need. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀............................................................................⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I love this quote SO MUCH!!! How true is it that the more we give out, the more we are filled up? It's a beautiful notion that not only applies to breastfeeding but to life as well. Fill your cup while filling cups for others. Also, when you cup is running low, don't be afraid to ask for help from others. Hey y’all! I am Kristi, owner of Birthways Birth Services. I am originally from Montana, but my family and I have lived in the DFW metroplex for about 7 years. I am a mom of two boys (15 and 9), and I’ve been married to my husband for 17 years. I am dog OBSESSED (we don’t deserve them), love coffee, books are one of my most prized possessions, I field a fantasy football team yearly, and I truly believe that hockey is (hands down) the best live sport that exists.

I’ve wanted to be in the birth work field since the birth of my oldest. I had AMAZING L&D nurses, and from that point on I always knew that birth work was my life calling. The time to dive in was never right, but 2020 taught me that life is entirely too short to not be obsessed with what you fill your time with. In 2021 I certified with BEST as a doula and childbirth educator. I LOVE evidence-based practices and believe that every birthing person deserves the chance for their birth their way. I am so excited to be able to help others during one of the most challenging times of their lives. I am so happy that you found your way here, and I hope that we can work together to give you your birth your way.
