is proud to announce that it was awarded the AmeriCorps grant to sponsor and oversee the NW VISTAS cohort, which supports the anti-poverty movement and places AmeriCorps volunteers at nonprofits, government, tribal, or educational organizations throughout Snohomish, Skagit, and Island Counties. In this capacity, VCS will assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and stewardship of the AmeriCorps VISTA members.

NW VISTA HIGHLIGHT: Recently graduated VISTA member Kyra, who dedicated a year of service at Housing Hope in Everett! 👏🏼🌟🤗
Through her year of service, Kyra learned valuable knowledge about working within the non-profit sector. She graduated from her position at Housing Hope on August 1, 2023, and will continue to work in the non-profit sector in Seattle, where she will help individuals living with developmental disabilities with job training and retention. Her goal is to eventually obtain her certification in HR.

NW VISTA HIGHLIGHT: Recently graduated VISTA member Sarah, who dedicated a year of service at HopeWorks Social Enterprises in Everett! 👏🏼🌟🤗
Sarah had wanted to try something new, and that is exactly what she got! While she was apprehensive at first, Sarah completed her year as an AmeriCorps VISTA with great success and accomplishment, learning how to function effectively outside of her comfort zone. Now that she's graduated from the program, she would like to get into government work, specifically immigration. Congratulations, Sarah, and good luck to you moving forward!

Tonight our members along with other AmeriCorps members and supporters cheered as the Mariners overcame with a win!

Not only did we enjoy an amazing game but approximately 170 tickets were sold which will directly support children this upcoming winter!
