Тема: як розпізнавати ризики, діяти впевнено у кризових ситуаціях та надавати першу допомогу. Ви ознайомитеся з практичними інструментами, зокрема 5-кроковою моделлю реагування та підходом CALM для зниження ризиків.

Лектор: Шон Снайдер (PhD, MSW, LICSW) — директор з впровадження та технічної допомоги в Baker Center (афілійований із Harvard Medical School), експерт із запобігання самогубствам, науки впровадження та травмо-орієнтованої допомоги (TF-CBT).

Організатор: First Aid of the Soul (FAS) — підтримка психічного здоров’я та стійкості в Україні.

💛💙Today marks four years since the official non-profit registration of First Aid of the Soul — March 22, 2022.

What began in a moment of urgency has grown into a living, collective effort rooted in care, dignity, and human connection. Over these four years, we have supported more than 23 000+ Ukrainians — with 95% of this work carried forward by volunteers.

This milestone is not only about what has been built, but about what has been sustained.

At its heart, this work is about holding space — space for grief, for healing, for expression, and for the quiet rebuilding of self in the midst of rupture. It is about preserving what is most human in us, even under immense strain, and nurturing the inner resilience that makes recovery possible.

As we move forward, we remain grounded in the same purpose: to support those who support others, and to contribute — together — to the continuity, resilience, and humanity of our communities. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Сьогодні виповнюється чотири роки з моменту офіційної реєстрації First Aid of the Soul — 22 березня 2022 року.
Те, що починалося як відповідь на нагальну потребу, перетворилося на живу спільну діяльність, засновану на турботі, гідності та людському зв’язку. За ці чотири роки ми підтримали понад 23 000+ українців — і 95% цієї роботи здійснюється завдяки волонтерам.

Ця дата — не лише про те, що було створено, а й про те, що вдалося зберегти.

У своїй основі ця робота — про створення простору. Простору для горя, для зцілення, для вираження і для тихого відновлення себе в умовах руйнування. Це про збереження того, що робить нас людьми, навіть під величезним тиском, і про плекання внутрішньої стійкості, яка робить можливим відновлення.

Рухаючись далі, ми залишаємося відданими нашій спільній меті: підтримувати тих, хто підтримує інших, і разом робити внесок у тяглість, стійкість і людяність наших спільнот. Дякуємо, що ви поруч із нами на цьому шляху! 💛💙

Nathalie Timtchenko, founder of First Aid of the Soul, spoke as a panelist at the inaugural Ukraine Symposium at the Harvard Kennedy School, marking four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The room was filled with more than 140 students, fellows, faculty, and community members committed to thoughtful dialogue about Ukraine’s future.

Nathalie addressed the human dimension of this ongoing war—the profound psychological toll of prolonged conflict and what resilience truly means in practice. Today, nearly 80 percent of Ukrainians are experiencing symptoms of trauma, depression, or chronic stress. While the resilience of Ukrainian communities is extraordinary and deeply visible, resilience must never become a justification for complacency. It cannot replace the sustained international commitment and decisive support required to ensure Ukraine’s security, sovereignty, and ultimate victory.

It was a deep honor to share the stage with such remarkable voices, including Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Ambassador Samantha Power, Serhii Plokhii, Matviichuk, Matteo Patrone, Ilya Timtchenko, Anastasiya Donets, Jason Blevins, Susan Farbstein, and many others. Each speaker underscored that Ukraine’s fight is not only about territory—it is about dignity and the future of democracy.
