We believe that strong relationships between caregivers and clients are the foundation of exceptional care.
When caregivers and their clients connect on a personal level, it enhances the quality of care and creates a more positive experience for everyone involved.

As caregivers, it’s important to approach these conversations with empathy and understanding. Listen as Dr. Barry Jacobs, clinical psychologist and national caregiving expert, provides insight to help ease the transition on the ComForConnections podcast: https://ow.ly/Zwuw50WhEN5

Family-Oriented, Compassionate, Committed to Community
“We’ll go the extra mile to find a way to help.”
Feeling the need to care for others has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I worked for several years as an orderly in a hospital before embarking on a 20-year service in the Navy.
It has been a dream of mine for many years to return to my home community and work towards serving the older adults there. That’s what makes the work I do with ComForCare so perfect for me and my family. Not only do I get to spend each and every day serving my community and helping others to live their best lives possible, but I get to work alongside my wife, Nancy. For us, this business truly is a family business: run by a family treating and serving each client like they are our own family.
I’m an Arlington native; I grew up, graduated from college, started my career and raised my own family here. I have worked as an accountant for government contractors for over 25 years. After a series of various life changes, I challenged myself to think about the direction I wanted to go and what new beginning I wanted to embark on.
I knew that whatever I ended up doing, I wanted it to be something that allowed me to make a difference in the lives of others. I wanted something that would make use of my skills while allowing me to pursue that passion, and it felt only appropriate that it should be something the whole family could get behind.
We had experienced the often fraught process of finding care for my ailing father and securing quality care for a loved one was significantly more taxing than what we had assumed it to be. Surely, many others experienced the same issues and concerns for their aging parents that we did. There had to be services out there that addressed it. And, that is where we found not only an answer but also a calling.
We are committed to providing the best possible care to all our clients so that each of them can live their best lives possible on their own terms. Having gone through the process of finding care for our own loved ones, we understand it can be a difficult process, and that’s why we’re committed to doing all we can to make it easier and less stressful on our clients and their families.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Marymount University
