He served a 12-year Air Force career with 4 active-duty years at George and Nellis Air Force Bases.

Over the years, I’ve obtained several patents and the Lone Star Retractors probably the most significant one for the pelvic surgeon in me. I’m about to do a Vaginoplasty and Períneopasty and a posterior repair and without this device, I would struggle mightily. The Lonestar APS Retractor has made it possible for In Office Awake No IV pelvic surgery. It’s amazing.

Our 40 year reunion for the Medical School Class of 1986 for Loma Linda University School of Medicine is coming up on February 28. Dug through dozens of boxes and files and cabinets and old Kodak carousel slides, scanned a bunch of pictures that have been stored for four decades, and finishing up on a slideshow that brings back happy memories of my youth with fantastic friends. How far we have come and how wonderful the blessings have been from the Lord above. Nothing was ever easy, tough, and tragic times, our faith was ever tested. 150 of us graduated in the summer of 1986. Lost seven dear classmates. Can’t wait to see my buddies who shared the trenches with me in my 20s.

Wow! Where did the time go?!!! 40 years of learning and it feels like I am just starting. I was pulling out stored slides and pictures to create a slide show for our 40th Loma Linda University School of Medicine Reunion in a few weeks and found this silly one of me listening to the lungs of an X Ray. I was so intimidated and so green! Looking forward to seeing my buds and reminiscing of a time long past that shaped our lives and careers.
