Should you share photos of your kids online? 📸
I get it, you want to share those precious moments from the park today, or their latest milestone.
But not everyone’s intentions are as good as yours.
I love seeing how many of you have decided to hide your kids faces on social media after becoming aware of the dangers:
- Everything online is building their personal brand
- Their digital footprint can be used by employers and colleges when reviewing applications
- Their safety can be compromised
- Identity theft is greater in kids than adults
- Sadly there are people out there who might take these photos and use them in perverted contexts.
- Your photos can be used to create deepfakes with AI
You might think that having a private Instagram account means that they’re protected but it’s not fully safe 🔓
It’s better than a public account however it can still be hacked (or your friends accounts), people can screenshot your images and share them, and even if you delete something it can be retrieved.
What have you decided when it comes to sharing your kids on social media? 🤔
I have lots of guides on privacy and using technology safer over on techwellness.com
As always, images were taken on Airplane Mode and posted with a hardwired connection. The best EMF protection!
