Dear neighbors and friends,

The Medicine Shoppe of Artesia signed up with a State sponsored program and we have installed a medication takeback receptacle at our pharmacy. You can bring your unused medications and dump them directly into the receptacle to avoid misuse and abuse by others. The US has experienced an unprecedented drug overdose and most cases of young adults' addiction start at our own medicine cabinet at home. The CDC estimated that 68,000 deaths in 2020 were due to opioid overdose!
