If you’ve ever worked in a hospital, you can see that people with sepsis, heart attack, blood clots, stroke and fainting spells are often massively dehydrated, because you can simply ask them “have you been staying hydrated, or drinking much fluids lately?” and they virtually always say no, and they often explain that some extraordinary circumstance made them forget to drink for the last 15 to 25 hours. But it is not much in the published body of data, because there’s no money in water. Most of the published data surround things that make money like pharmaceuticals and procedures. So remember to drink 8 ounces every hour, or thereabouts, and you’ll massively improve your chances in heath. Most providers never ask about hydration but it’s not in their training.
