One Love is a not an "organized religion", but a true Religion in the purest sense of the word, which, like the word Yoga, means most simply to yolk, bind, or connect in a spiritual sense - to experience Oneness with. In other words, One Love is our means of spiritually connecting to and experiencing our Oneness with The One (Jah, God) - all beings, all Life, all of Nature, and all of the Universe
as an interconnected Whole. One Love is a non-dogmatic, non-denominational, and non-exclusive faith - a universal, syncretic, and eclectic religion. We practice One Love by:
~ Acknowledging the fact that all is One - that all beings, all Life, all of Nature, and all of the Universe is an interconnected Whole.
~ Experiencing this fact directly and integrating it into our everyday lives through various methods of expanding our awareness, communing with God, and deeply exploring our true Self.
~ Acting accordingly by treating all - ourselves and others, all beings, all Life, all of Nature, and all of the Universe - with respect, compassion, non-violence, forgiveness, honesty, non-judgment, non-obsession, non-aversion, and unconditional Love.
~ Seeking to live in the most sustainable way possible - in balance and harmony with all beings, all Life, all of Nature, and all of the Universe.
~ Actively participating in the process of Creation - guiding our own evolution into ever greater and greater Oneness and universal, unconditional Love. The practice of One Love is the practice of cultivating unconditional Love for all beings, all Life, all of Nature, and all of the Universe as an interconnected Whole by way of meditating, expanding our awareness, journeying deep within the Self, communing with God (a.k.a. Jah, The One, The Most High, The Almighty, Cosmic Consciousness, All That Is, etc.), and integrating the resulting insights into our daily lives. Techniques for facilitating the practice of One Love through awareness expansion, God union/communion, and Self exploration/realization are drawn from the world's great spiritual traditions (the world's religions, esoteric societies, and indigenous shamanic traditions, ancient and current) as well as from modern scientific research. These practices can include, but are not limited to: astral projection, channeling, chanting, devotional singing, dream journaling, ecstatic dancing, fasting, ingestion of psychedelic/entheogenic sacraments, kabbalah, lucid dreaming, meditation, pranayama, prayer, qi gong, sensory deprivation, shamanic drumming, tantra, vision quests, yoga, etc. The Church of One Love recognizes cannabis as our primary sacrament, and as the original sacrament of the Rastafari, Hindu, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sufi, Sikh, Zoroastrian, Buddhist, Shinto, and Taoist religious traditions, as well as that of many other religious traditions, ancient and modern, including Kemetic (ancient Egyptian) religion and several African and Indian tribal religions. We regard cannabis as a highly beneficial aid to the practice of One Love - as a powerful tool for meditation, contemplation, and prayer, as a sacred healing medicine, and as a supplement for maintaining inner peace and a positive, loving vibration.
