Some of our Advance EMT students helped to provide rehab for local fire departments participating in a controlled burn today. A perfect opportunity to hone their ever important skill of patient assessment! This is a great group, and we are excited to see what the future holds for them!

Today we want to highlight our Administrative Assistant, Kristy! She agreed to having her picture taken, despite feeling “spooky” today, whatever that’s about 🤷🏻‍♂️ But We appreciate all Kristy does for our staff! She keeps us on track, and ready to serve you, Boyd County! Everyone have a wonderful Friday the 13th!

The last few days, we have been overwhelmed by the love and support of our community! We were also blessed by the assistance provided by Carter County EMS, Greenup County Ambulance Authority, and Lawrence County (OH) EMS. These services provided personel and coverage, allowing all of our staff the opportunity to attend funeral services for Chris Stewart. To all of you, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you! This kind of support is what makes our region great!

Funeral arrangements for Chris Stewart:

Visitation will be Monday, from 6p to 8p.
Funeral will be Tuesday, at 1p.
Both held at Rose Hill Baptist Church

While we mourn the passing of former Boyd County EMS Paramedic Chris Stewart, we find solace in the memories. The memories of a superb practitioner; a kind and caring husband and father; and an extraordinary friend. Chris’s “larger than life” presence will leave a lasting void with all who knew him. Chris was a true servant to this community, and we are truly thankful for his service. His dedication and selflessness is exemplary and inspiring for us all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Christie, and children Logan and Katie. May they always remember, countless lives were made better by Chris’s presence. We will miss him very much.
