Andrew Jones completed a two year program at the University of Santa Monica in 2005, achieving a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Psychology, where the primary focus is to heal one's self through experience within the context that “we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Hundreds of hours were spent as both the practitioner and the client role where he experienced working the emotional process (including healing the past), releasing limiting beliefs, and positively changing his physical reality. In his training, an entire six month project was dedicated to healing the toughest relationship each student had ever experienced.
This deep practice of listening with love was developed through a year-long private apprenticeship with Energy Medicine practitioner Loraine DeLear, who co-founded the Luminous Awareness Institute of Energy Medicine, where Andrew completed another two years of in-depth energy medicine training. He then served multiple times as a teacher's assistant to the new students.
The biggest test came and was passed! A marriage to the woman of his dreams could only happen because he rose to the challenges presented within the relationship by being authentic, compassionate, and totally dedicated to show up through many healing processes...and there were a great many! And they continue, now with two children and happily married for nearly eleven years.
Andrew's interest in healing work began with yoga studies and certification in 2002 and massage training. This started a lifelong refinement of attuning to the body, emotions, mind and Spirit. His passion inspired him to complete a 200hr yoga training with Tias Little and additional bodywork courses by 2005, as well as ongoing Buddhism and consciousness studies, and techniques in Non-violent Communication and relationship conflict resolution.
He has also trained extensively to be able to guide men into understanding and cultivating compassion for their women partners with a menstrual cycle. His wife, Destiny Love, is the author of Womb Codes for Spiritual Intimacy. In this work, the man tracks his mate's menstrual cycle on a Moondala chart so that he can better understand how to flow with her hormonal changes that accompany the shifts that occur each monthly cycle.
