DIY Free weight loss

DIY Free weight loss I have been obese for the majority of my life and have had great success with weight loss and exercise. I would like to share this info with you.

I created this page with the hope that I may help someone that is suffering from being over weight. I know all to well how bad this can be and how difficult it is to try to overcome. I have had a weight problem since I was a young teen, and it just got worse as I grew older.I tried several diets over the years, such as slim fast, weight watchers, nutra system, and low carb. I did loose 90 lbs on low carb but hit a wall and couldn't get past it.My personal opinion is that I don't think low carb is that good for you, I am affraid that may be what caused my kidney stones and gallbladder problem, but I am no doctor so... At my highest weight I was over 425 lbs. I had every excuse in the world to not exercise, I had a motorcycle crash in 2008, I shattered my left foot. I broke my L5 vertebra and was in a wheel chair for 3 months, then crutches for 3 months. This left me with a permanently damaged left foot, 3 bulging discs, degenerated disc, reversing curve, all in my lumbar spine. So I am very familiar with pain. I don't take any pain meds at all. I was in very bad health, I was on medication for high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, anxiety, and my cholesterol was on the rise. My digestive tract was a wreck, heart burn, indigestion, bowl problems. Then it got worse, I started having these attacks of pain in my upper abdomen in the middle of the night. I went to the doctor and the said it was most likely my gallbladder. They scheduled me for testing the next few days, but before I went for the testing I googled the problem and found the gallbladder diet. I started the diet the next day. The attacks stopped, my heartburn and indigestion went away, my bowls settled down. Then I noticed I had lost some weight. So I started digging into it to figure out why I was seeing these results. If you eat a high fat meal, it doesn't move through your digestive track very fast at all. Before it can move from your stomach to your small intestine, your liver and gallbladder have to produce bile to help your body digest the fat. This allows the meal to lay in your stomach, causing heart burn, and indigestion. The weight loss was a couple of things, by cutting the fat, I had cut my calories. Plus I personally believe that the combination of cutting the fat which speeds digestion, and adding fruit and vegies makes what calories I do eat go through more quickly and less are absorbed. So I thought if I add a little exercise it will help, so I did. From experience I have learned that starting slow and steady, with exercise that doesn't kill you will help you make it a habit and you will be more likely to stick with it. So I started walking 20 minutes 3 days a week, and did see results. I would increase the distance and time in very small increments about once a week. Then with the bad back I started doing yoga for a few minutes in the morning, and increased it in the same way. I am not going to try and push religion on anyone, but I did talk to my priest when I was at my lowest point and he told me its hard to be healthy in mind, body, and soul if one of these are way out of balance. I found this very helpful and it was a great push for me. I do pray and give thanks, I don't ask god to come down and do it for me, I ask for patients, will power, and courage to help me be a happier healthier person. Now if you are not religious I still think you can get in touch with your inner self and maybe meditate, or just have a conversation with yourself and make a deal with yourself to be a better person. When I did go for my gallbladder testing, which included an ultra sound, CT scan of my Gi track with barium and contrast dye, and a hyda scan, all came back negative. So I believe the diet helped enough to get me an all clear. I know I still have a gallbladder problem because I recently started slipping on my diet and did have an attack. This was after being on the diet for 3 years. But the good news is about a year after I started the diet my doctor told me I had cured my diabetes and high blood pressure. I am walking 4 miles 6 days a week, I do yoga for 15 minutes every morning, I lift dumbbells while laying flat on my back for 15 minutes 3 days a week, I hang upside down on my inversion table for 10 minutes 6 days a week. I do go to the chiropractor Gary Dillon when I can and find that very helpful as well. I still tuf days but they seem to be getting further and further apart. I will continue to work on my balance until I get it right!
