Oral Cancer Awareness Month 💙🦷

This month, we’re recognizing Oral Cancer Awareness Month at Bundy Family Dentistry. Oral cancer is a cancer that can affect your lips, tongue, cheeks, throat, and other areas in the mouth. When it’s found early, treatment is often easier and more successful. 🌟

At every comprehensive and periodic exam, our physicians Dr. Robert Bundy and Dr. Amanda Boender perform an oral cancer screening – a quick, visual and gentle touch exam of your mouth, tongue, and neck to look for anything unusual. 👀

Watch for these signs at home and let us know if they last more than 2 weeks:
• A sore or spot in your mouth that doesn’t heal 😕
• Red or white patches (called “lesions,” meaning an area of damaged tissue) 🔴⚪
• A lump, thick area, or rough spot
• Trouble chewing or swallowing 🍽️
• A feeling that something is stuck in your throat
