Re-group offers residential recovery services for men and women.

Our recovery team includes licensed therapists, nurses, peer support specialists, case managers, support aids, and transporters. All our staff are highly trained to help our clients through their journey to recovery.

We aim to support and guide the clients family toward healing and understanding. Family visitation, counseling education, and support are offered based on the desire and needs of each client.

Ramey-Estep Homes was built on the compassion and vision of two remarkable people, Ms. Gertrude Ramey and Mr. Hack Estep.

In 1951, Boyd County Jailer Hack Estep welcomed a young man named Bill into the jail simply to give him a warm place to stay. That small act of kindness sparked something big - the creation of the Boyd County Boys Farm in 1954.

By 1958, the first seven boys had moved into what is now our residential program’s home on Pigeon Roost Road in Rush, KY. After Mr. Estep’s passing, the home was renamed in his honor, recognizing his 23 years of dedication to caring for children in need.

What started as one open door has grown into a legacy of hope and healing.

Answer: You’re not required to own a home! Owning and renting homes or apartments are both perfectly acceptable.

A home inspection will be completed prior to certification to ensure there is enough physical space in the home to accommodate foster youth. We also require homeowners or renters insurance on file for every foster home.

At Re-group, we use hand puppets in play therapy as tools to help children express emotions, tell stories, and feel safe while doing so.

Puppets can give kids the distance they need to share hard things, while also helping therapists understand what’s going on beneath the surface. It’s playful, yes, but it’s also powerful.

Kids don’t always have the words, but they always have feelings - and healing doesn’t have to start with a conversation.
