Through the cultivation of ideas and the development of materials and programs, Tricycle Smile will provide an interactive Community Venue that instills creativity, expressionism, sharing and self exploration while incorporating kindness into the community. As people tap into their own creativity and share kindness with one another, they discover for themselves the power of expression to effect positive change. When kindness is expressed, healthy relationships are created, community connections are nourished, and people are inspired to pass kindness on. Raising awareness of the positive influence the Arts have on the human spirit and community through music, film, theatre and multi -dimensional visual and performing arts. Together with community involvement Tricycle Smile will work to promote and preserve the Arts (visual, physical, healing) and encourage individual involvement in those efforts. Tricycle Smile will include experiential education within its structure. Experiential Education is a philosophy and methodologies in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills, and clarify values. Tricycle Smile will provide a life-long commitment to the community by educating for environmental responsibility, artistic expression, physical and mental wellbeing, conserving and restoring the balance of natural communities, and advancing the ethic that the individuals within a community must be respected, respectful and nurtured. Tricycle Smile will offer a venue that helps empower the children and adults of the community to overcome their personal obstacles and achieve their potential by providing transforming experiences and continuous support. Tricycle Smile will provide a safe and supportive environment for the development of inner strength and courage and will work to inspire and enable young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The programs within Tricycle Smile will focus on empowering the members of the community to have a positive outlook on themselves, supportive influence on their peers, sustain meaningful relationships with others, and develop self-esteem. Tricycle Smile will assist children, youth and adults of all ages to become proficient in creative and thought provoking educational disciplines apply learning, imagination and expression to everyday situations and promote future personal success. Tricycle Smile will be an interactive learning venue dedicated to helping members of the community improve their ability to express through creation, do well in school, and make good life choices. Tricycle Smile will offer an environment for young people and adults to learn creative technological skills through regular access to state-of-the-art equipment. Corporate and private support will provide Tricycle Smile with technology labs (computers, cameras, video, and audio) and through technology programs and instruction children and adults will learn about such things as word processing, internet research, digital photography and enhancement, musical creation, and multi-media art. Art programs allow youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts, and creative writing. Tricycle Smile will have a dedicated cultural arts room, offering classes in music, drama, fine arts, crafts, photography and multi-media. These activities foster self-expression and creativity, and help develop appreciation of other cultures. Tricycle Smile will provide awareness and developmental instruction in the importance of fitness and wellness within our life schedules. A focus on positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment, and developing social skills through various interactive forums and activities will be included in the environment of Tricycle Smile. Youth and young at heart will have opportunities to build teamwork and physical fitness through organized athletic activities. In addition, Tricycle Smile will offer yoga, tranquil time, and individual wellness programs to instill the importance of self reflection and overall well being.
