Introducing our new nonprofit recovery and wellness center, opening in 2020. It’s a place where women will be supported with dignity and respect as they begin or continue the transformative journey of lifelong recovery.
Long-term residential recovery options are hard to find in Georgia, yet lasting recovery needs lasting support. That’s why we offer two distinct levels of service. The first entails a minimum six-month stay at Lightway Recovery with 24/7 support from our trained staff. Guests in this phase focus totally on their personalized recovery program. The second level of service is for our guests transitioning into more independence while continuing coaching and supportive monitoring.
A woman’s recovery journey may begin at Lightway Recovery, but it extends far beyond her time with us. Our personal recovery programs focus on what each person needs to establish a stable foundation and return to their life responsibilities with the tools and skills to thrive. In our structured, therapeutic community, programming addresses the complete picture of mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
SUPPORTING RECOVERY FOR PRENATAL AND POSTPARTUM WOMEN
Pregnant and postpartum women are an underserved population with unique recovery needs. In addition to women at all life stages, Lightway Recovery welcomes those who are expecting or recently delivered. For these women, committing to an intensive recovery program is a profound expression of love that can forever change their child’s and family’s life for the better.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO LIVE AT LIGHTWAY RECOVERY
Our beautiful campus in Flowery Branch, Georgia, is a haven where our residents can dig into the necessary work of recovery. Transportation and meals are provided, so that guests can focus on their recovery without distractions. Each guest will experience a program tailored to their individual needs, including life skills classes geared toward their educational, career, or parenting goals.
WHY WE EMPHASIZE PEER SUPPORT ---REAL FACES OF RECOVERY
Trained peer recovery coaches play a one-on-one support role with guests in our recovery housing. This means residents are surrounded and mentored by true recovery success stories—individuals who have walked a mile and then some in the very same shoes. By releasing the shame and stigma of addiction, we find healing together.
