Well, it looks like the elderberry harvest is finally in. I’ll make a Tronics from the stuff that keeps the birds, beautiful and healthy year around without the use of antibiotics. Been very happy with it a few years ago, we started growing our own right here in the yard, we have just a couple of bushes, and they supply enough elderberry to do anything we need to do with it we never out of elderberry tonic.

I just wanted to post something because I hadn’t posted anything in 200 and something days but I’ve been in the hospital with GPS from Gillian beret syndrome and I’m learning to go to rocket Field myself and everything else still but anyways I just thought I’d post a little photo happier days and hopefully I’ll be back again. This was on October 4th this year, we bought a basket of our doves to our church for the Feast of St Francis, the parishioners can bring their animals to be blessed by the priests. We opened the basket and released them into the crystal blue sky.

Well this is another milestone for our daughter’s journey in to the dove release business, which she is currently working with us in full time for a few years now, and is gradually taking over the reins. Very exciting times for us.

We’ve been busy replacing the roof on our loft. Roofing of any kind is not my favorite activity. But I’m very happy with the new roof panels I used, They’re polycarbonate, and the white is translucent. The interior of the loft is even brighter than it was. At 76 years old, I don’t plan on doing this again.. LOL

If I could design a racing pigeon, to have all the physical characteristics that I like. This is about what it would look like. Small side of medium, plumage like fine silk, well muscled, yay are very supple but very buoyant, well balanced, strong back, tight high vent bones. In**ed Sure Bet on the father’s side, an ace champion half Roziers half Bandet , and a pure Roziers hen , bred the mother, But this little guy just stands out in a loft full of nice well bred white homers.

And so it begins, the first young birds are in their new home, and they are already winning over their new boss. Our son in law Richard did an amazing job on this loft . Now there’s some painting, and I will be starting on the perches and nests for the old bird section.

Our Elderberries are finally ready to be made into our Elderberry tonic. I haven’t had fresh berries to work with in a few years. These are from our oldest bush that we planted thee years ago. We have planted a couple more that are still two years out from producing berries.
