💦 If you’re waking up at night to urinate, struggling with weak flow, or feeling like you can’t empty your bladder fully, you might have BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia). It’s a fancy way of saying your prostate is enlarged, and while it’s not cancer, it can seriously impact your quality of life.

🧐 You may be surprised that it affects about 50% of men by age 50. If you are experiencing the early signs of BPH, seek a urologist. We can help you navigate your symptoms and find a solution.

🚨 Your body may be trying to tell you something: are you listening?

Some urologic symptoms may seem minor, but ignoring them could lead to more significant health problems.
1️⃣ Blood in Your Urine – This is a red flag 🚩 that could indicate anything from a simple infection to something more serious.

2️⃣ Frequent or Painful Urination – If you're running to the bathroom all the time or experiencing pain while urinating, it could be a sign of an enlarged prostate (BPH), a urinary tract infection, or even bladder stones.

3️⃣ Testicular Pain or Lumps – A lump in the testicles could be testicular cancer, which is highly treatable when caught early. Pain could also signal infection, which requires urgent treatment.

No sp*rm isn’t the end of the road for couples trying to conceive. If no sp*rm is found in the ej*culate, there are still options available for couples who want to pursue biological parenthood.

Two common next steps are:
✔️ Testicular mapping – a diagnostic procedure that helps locate areas of active sp*rm production.
✔️ MicroTESE (Microdissection Testicular Sp*rm Extraction) – a highly specialized surgery performed under a microscope to retrieve sp*rm directly from the testicular tissue.

In this photo, I am performing a MicroTESE. This technique has about a 50% success rate in finding sp*rm, even in challenging cases.

Choosing the right next step depends on your unique situation, and working with a specialist experienced in these procedures can make all the difference.

Peyronie’s Disease (PD) involves the abnormal curvature of the p***s, often upward, though it can also curve sideways or downward. This happens due to plaque buildup, which pulls on the pe**le tissues during an er****on.

If you have it, do you need to treat it?

Learn more about how Peyronie’s manifests and what treatment options are available in our latest post:
