💜 it’s maternal health month and the divine network just has one question for you… when was the last time you checked on your mommy friends? & I don’t mean checking on her asking about the baby… ask about her and her well being.

‼️ mothers are so often overlooked at the work we do, hats we wear, and the roles some of us have to step into by no choice… so it makes absolute sense on why we forget ourselves and being mindful of where we are mentally, and that’s not okay. because once our cups are depleted, who are you gonna be any good to? definitely not yourself.

we are so used to doing instead of just being, especially as black mothers and this goes all the way back to slavery when we had to become the protector of our families.

so used to being the rock and the backbone of the family structure… but who’s checking up on mama?

💡did you know that around 1 in 5 women face mental well-being hurdles during pregnancy or the first year after giving birth? even though these challenges are quite common, many brave women tackle them without the support they deserve, trapped in shadows. the fear of judgment silences their struggles which gets harbored and carried over past the postpartum period and stored in your womb space to show up in different areas. moreover, there’s a shortage of focus on mental health for expecting and new parents, making it tough to find the right help…

make it a point to check on your mama friends, no matter what stage of motherhood they’re in, because we need the check ins. 💙

‼️ here are a few of my favorite maternal mental health therapist you all should follow and tap in with…your welcome!
