What a whirlwind! In less than 24 hours, we booked a quick work trip and were on our way to Canada, where we finally got to check Niagara Falls off our bucket list. The fall leaves were spectacular, and the rainbow over the falls felt like a sign. This place is extra special to me since my parents honeymooned here, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to see. Just feeling grateful for God’s little surprises and this amazing experience. -Suite

30 years…you are so missed! I’m grateful you imparted Romans 8:28 into our daily life ā€˜all things work together for good’ I don’t have to understand the why, I just get to trust (a challenge for sure).

As I get closer to your forever age, it’s crazy how young it is. Your beautiful smile makes me smile and how you loved dad and lived life was a testimony I treasure.

How easy is it to move toward your goals?

At times I find it easy and then other times, it's hard! In an article, by Greater Good Magazine, Kira Newman writes how Embracing Discomfort Can Help You Grow. In this article, Newman references a new study by Psychological Science. This study states experiencing discomfort is often required to achieve personal growth.

Sometimes it's easy to forget the simple things. Of course, it takes discomfort to grow. This article hits home as I am participating in a group coaching course doing Meatless May. It started Monday and the first three days include a detox. I'm aware of the discomforts my body is going through getting rid of all the toxins. Today I woke up with my head clearer than it's been in months. The discomfort will be worth it if it allows me to find a better rhythm of what my body enjoys and doesn't.

Purpose also can demand some discomforts as we look inside ourselves and self-reflect. Pursuing purpose takes intentionality and courage to grow into the person we are meant to be. My purpose is to measure truth to promote wellness. My promise is to always be a positive encouragement as you fight to make a change. It starts with being truthful to myself so that I can be a positive encouragement to others as they fight to make a change.

Are you aware of the power of your thoughts?

Do you know that how you think is your choice?

Words are powerful. What we tell ourselves determines how our day will be.

Positivity is Key!

The choice is yours.

Yesterday afternoon we had a situation that I could see was sending me down a dark hole.

I didn’t want to enter this hole but I realized the choice was mine.

Let’s be real here…I wanted to go for chocolate. It’s my go to in stressful situations. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I’m learning chocolate doesn’t change the situation. So what was my choice?

I went for a walk, I prayed, I repeated scripture and guess what? I didn’t end up in the hole.

Was it a fight? Absolutely! Was it worth the fight? Absolutely!

Repeat after me:
I am strong
I am able
I can choose to think differently.

Oftentimes I hear women say, ā€˜It’s been this way for so long, I’ve tried so many things, but it doesn’t last.’

Discouragement sets in along with the belief that things can’t change.

3 DEADLY MISTAKES that are stopping YOU from staying true to your health journeyšŸ‘‡šŸ»

In my experience of working with clients & walking beside them in their health journey, I’ve seen people struggle moving the needle.

Here are the biggest mistakes I see you do

1ļøāƒ£ You want a quick fix and immediate results…

Our health journeys do not happen overnight. If you struggle with weight, high cholesterol, or some other disease, the reality is you did not just wake up one morning to these issues.

These problems often take years to show their ugly heads and the reality is, we need patience to change. A quick fix won’t solve years of poor choices.

2ļøāƒ£ Make small changes…

Meaning, what is one change you can make today? Start, don’t put it off another day.

Maybe it’s changing what you eat for breakfast or going for a walk. I offer suggestions to my clients to not make drastic changes and choose the all or nothing route. This is a sure way to fall off the wagon quickly.



3ļøāƒ£ You don’t believe you can change…


This one makes me sad.

But I also get it because I felt like this for too long myself.

The truth? It is possible to change. You can change. You are not stuck where you are today.

If you don’t believe you’re worthy, you will struggle to FIGHT for what you want — and fail to RECEIVE what you want.

Do you struggle saying NO?

I did…

I overcommitted, I said yes if I felt guilty, and I said yes because the need was there.

Until….I realized saying Yes isn’t always my BEST.

If I say yes but it’s not my best decision then I am taking away that opportunity for someone else to step into that role. I could be depriving someone else of their best yes.

Once that realization set in, it allowed me to begin to say no, especially if it wasn’t the best for my journey.
