Which one best describes YOU??

Comment below which Dosha you feel you are.

🟣Vata

Those with the Vata dosha are usually described as slim, energetic, enthusiastic, and creative. They’re known for thinking outside the box but can become easily distracted. What’s more, their mood is highly dependent on the weather, people around them, and the foods they eat, meaning they are somewhat fragile to their external environment, especially when out of balance.

Strengths: learn quickly, fun to be around, highly creative, multitasker, kind-hearted, flexible, “on the go,” naturally slim and lean.

Weaknesses: forgetful, anxious, nervous, unstable mood, can get overwhelmed easily, highly sensitive to the cold, trouble sleeping, irregular appetite and eating patterns, prone to digestive issues and gas, poor circulation, which leads to cold hands and feet.

🟡Pitta

Pitta-type people are said to usually have a muscular build, be very athletic and serve as strong leaders. They’re highly motivated, focused, goal-oriented, and competitive. Still, their aggressive and tenacious nature can be off-putting to some people, which can lead to conflict.

Strengths: intelligent, purposeful, learns quickly, self-determined, masters skills easily, a strong desire for success, strong, natural leaders, good circulation, healthy skin and hair, quick metabolism, strong digestion.
Weaknesses: impatient, prone to conflict, always hungry, mood swings when hungry, prone to acne and inflammation, sensitive to hot temperatures, hot-headed, angry, and intense when out of balance.

🟠Kapha

People that are primarily Kapha dosha are described as strong, loyal, thick-boned, and caring. They’re known for keeping things together and being a support system for others. Kapha-dominant people rarely get upset or stressed, think before acting and speaking, and go through life in a slow, deliberate manner.

Strengths: empathetic, caring, trusting, loyal, patient, calm, happy, romantic, strong bones and joints, healthy immune system

Weaknesses: prone to gaining weight if stagnant, slow metabolism, sluggish digestion, over-sleeping, breathing issues such as asthma and allergies, higher risk of heart disease, mucus buildup, susceptible to depression and melancholy when out of balance. They need regular motivation and encouragement.

As an Ayurveda specialist, I get to design all of my herbal formulas for my patients.

This is a Vata Nervine Sedative and Tonic formula I made during my training at the California College of Ayurveda. This formula has Passionflower as its chief herb, along with a combination of Oatstraw, Chamomile, Ashwagandha, and Lemon Balm. When taken regularly, these capsules calm Vata imbalances in the mind. This means it targets the nervous system, relieves worry, overwhelm, anxiety, and stress, and promotes restful sleep. It's a beautiful thing we did here.

Passiflora Incarnata - This extraterrestrial-looking flower is a potent natural herb that has been used in Ayurveda for many years and is the best natural remedy for anxiety, stress, depression, and other brain disorders.

Passionflower soothes the nervous system and reduces tension. It can improve the quality of your sleep. Clinical trials show that passionflower has a sedative effect that increases the level of GABA in the brain and, thus, calms the mind.

I’ll be sharing more about Ayurveda, as well as my practice. Additionally, over the next six months, I will be looking for new clients that are interested in embarking on a journey to obtain balance in the body and mind to ensure a harmonious environment in which to heal. “Place your hands into soil to feel grounded. Wade into water to feel emotionally healed. Fill your lungs with fresh air to feel mentally clear. Raise your face to the heat of the sun and connect with that fire to feel your own immense power.” -Victoria Erickson, Rebelle Society

Ayurveda bases its theory on the existence of five great elements,
🌌Ether
🌬Air
🔥Fire
💧Water
🌏Earth
These elements are the basic building blocks, or principles which are the basis of life of the whole universe, as well as the make up of our bodies.

Without them, life is not possible.
The entire material universe that surrounds us is constructed by combining these great elements in different proportions.

Times of uncertainty allowing fear, anxiety and stress to creep back into your life?

Some things in life are out of your control, but your health isn’t.

What you decide to do on a daily, consistent basis determines the current state of health of your body, mind, and Soul.

Recirculating thoughts and emotions in the mind such as fear, anxiety, worry and overwhelm are experiences of a Vata dosha imbalance. Key word: experiences. Meaning they don’t have to stick around and make you sick. You can be the observer and know how to combat these emotions when they arise. Here are a few ways to balance the dosha and ground yourself:
*Daily healthy rituals and routines
*Nourishing, grounding foods that are full of Prana which is life force energy. These are foods that are whole, fresh, organic and in season. Stay away from foods that cause turbulence in the mind such as packaged and overly processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, high salt foods, sugary foods, foods that are very heavy and hard to digest.
*Daily positive affirmations, meditation, journaling and seeking guidance.
*Pranayama or breathing practices.
*Cleansing the body and giving your digestive system a rest during the middle of the summer.
*Limit screen times especially in the evenings.
*Connect more with mother earth and get outside.
*Exercise
*Create morning and night time rituals that include moments of self care.
*Avoid toxic relationships with people and media. Set personal boundaries.
*Oil and massage the body. It’s nourishing, it’s hydrating, it’s loving, it strengthens the immune system and improves circulation.

There is so much more. Contact me for a FREE 15 min. consultation to see if Ayurveda is right for you. Namaste and be well friends. 🦋
