Perspiration is the body’s way of regulating temperature and, while it is often tied to the body “working”, sweating does not mean you’re getting more or better physical benefit than other forms of gentle activity.
There are a TON of practices that exert very little energy - meditation, yoga nidra, yin yoga, restorative yoga, and so on - whose physical, mental, and energetic benefits are quite profound and just as vital to overall health as more strenuous or physically exerting activities.
So, when you’re body is telling you to take a rest day or needs less physical activity, know you can reap incredible health benefits without ever wiping your brow 💦
