Compassion Medical

Compassion Medical Bringing the compassion, hope, and the healing of Christ to the world. We also know that much of the world has not heard the name of Jesus.

At Compassion Medical, we desire to follow His example and BE the hands of Christ and continue His work by bringing not only the healing of ailments and diseases, but the Gospel that heals hearts and changes lives. We see the destruction that is caused by a lack of even basic medical care around the world and are moved with compassion. This is the reason we give and we go….to bring healing and Hope to the world.

It’s not about programs, politics, or projects…it’s about people.

Every smile, every life touched, every small moment of hope shows why we do what we do. From communities near and far, like this little girl in Afghanistan, our work makes a real difference in real lives. Thanks to you and your continued support!

We’re so grateful for Dr. Matt Hillis and his incredible partnership with Compassion Medical. We first met him while helping with an urgent Afghan evacuation, and since then, he’s gone above and beyond to support countless Afghan families. With 18 years of military service both overseas and at home, Dr. Hillis continues to serve with the same dedication, skill, and compassion that have made an impact we could never have imagined. We feel so fortunate to have him on our side!

What a joy it was to catch up with dear friends in Australia…..friends Compassion Medical helped evacuate from Afghanistan!

We often can’t show you the faces of those you’ve impacted, but sometimes we can… reconnecting, hearing their stories, and giving them a hug was such a highlight for me.

We couldn’t do this important work without you. Thank you for making it possible!

Recently, Liz enjoyed spending time with our partners on the ground in Germany, the Willoughby’s, as they shared stories of their work among the Ukrainian deaf community. Their love and commitment are leaving a lasting impact.

Update from Katie, our Compassion Medical nurse in South Africa. She is officially scheduled to take her nursing exam this November. While preparing for that, she continues to serve her community. Most recently, she helped lead an eye clinic at the Thola Centre. With 18 volunteers, the team provided vision testing for 63 patients, distributed 45 pairs of reading glasses, and connected 20 people with follow-up care at specialty clinics.

If you want to bring joy to others, show compassion.
If you want joy in your own life, show compassion.
It’s amazing how the same act can change two hearts at once.

What if compassion wasn’t something you had to travel far to find but something you lived out, right where you are?

This month, our friend Jayni reminded us of that truth. She organized a food drive for refugees in her New York community. It was quiet, faithful, and full of heart.

It wasn’t global or flashy.
But it was deeply personal.
And deeply compassionate.

This is what “Compassion Where You Are Initiative” is all about…everyday people showing love in their own neighborhoods. Thanks

We’re so grateful for our friends at FBC who are stepping up to host a food drive for refugee families.

Food Drop-off Day:
July 26 | 9AM–2PM
Faith Baptist Church
34 E Searsville Rd, Montgomery, NY

If you’re unable to come during that time, there will be a designated drop-off area in the church lobby available during regular service hours.

These items will go directly to refugees in need and your generosity can help bring both nutrition and dignity to families navigating incredibly difficult transitions.

Most-needed items include:
*Rice, lentils, dried beans (chickpeas, black beans, etc.)
*Pasta/noodles
*Canned vegetables & fruits (in juice, not syrup)
*Canned fish (no pork-derived ingredients)
*Halal canned meats
*Flour, sugar, salt, cooking oil
*Powdered milk, tea bags, or instant coffee
*Peanut butter, nut-free spreads
*Dates, dried fruit
*Instant soup, canned soup
*Crackers, flatbreads, granola bars, fig bars
*Instant oatmeal, plain cookies or biscuits
*Garlic powder, tomato paste or canned tomatoes
*Soy sauce, vinegar, jam, jelly

If you’re near this NYC area and want to participate, this is a simple way to make a big impact. Every item counts. Every act of love matters.

This little girl turned a magnet into a moment of care, because even little hearts understand what compassion looks like.

We’re here for that. Every time.
