Compassion Medical

Compassion Medical Bringing the compassion, hope, and the healing of Christ to the world. We also know that much of the world has not heard the name of Jesus.

At Compassion Medical, we desire to follow His example and BE the hands of Christ and continue His work by bringing not only the healing of ailments and diseases, but the Gospel that heals hearts and changes lives. We see the destruction that is caused by a lack of even basic medical care around the world and are moved with compassion. This is the reason we give and we go….to bring healing and Hope to the world.

If you want to bring joy to others, show compassion.
If you want joy in your own life, show compassion.
It’s amazing how the same act can change two hearts at once.

What if compassion wasn’t something you had to travel far to find but something you lived out, right where you are?

This month, our friend Jayni reminded us of that truth. She organized a food drive for refugees in her New York community. It was quiet, faithful, and full of heart.

It wasn’t global or flashy.
But it was deeply personal.
And deeply compassionate.

This is what “Compassion Where You Are Initiative” is all about…everyday people showing love in their own neighborhoods. Thanks

We’re so grateful for our friends at FBC who are stepping up to host a food drive for refugee families.

Food Drop-off Day:
July 26 | 9AM–2PM
Faith Baptist Church
34 E Searsville Rd, Montgomery, NY

If you’re unable to come during that time, there will be a designated drop-off area in the church lobby available during regular service hours.

These items will go directly to refugees in need and your generosity can help bring both nutrition and dignity to families navigating incredibly difficult transitions.

Most-needed items include:
*Rice, lentils, dried beans (chickpeas, black beans, etc.)
*Pasta/noodles
*Canned vegetables & fruits (in juice, not syrup)
*Canned fish (no pork-derived ingredients)
*Halal canned meats
*Flour, sugar, salt, cooking oil
*Powdered milk, tea bags, or instant coffee
*Peanut butter, nut-free spreads
*Dates, dried fruit
*Instant soup, canned soup
*Crackers, flatbreads, granola bars, fig bars
*Instant oatmeal, plain cookies or biscuits
*Garlic powder, tomato paste or canned tomatoes
*Soy sauce, vinegar, jam, jelly

If you’re near this NYC area and want to participate, this is a simple way to make a big impact. Every item counts. Every act of love matters.

This little girl turned a magnet into a moment of care, because even little hearts understand what compassion looks like.

We’re here for that. Every time.

As summer reaches its halfway mark, Jen, our volunteer coordinator, reflects on her time teaching life-saving medical skills in Southeast Asia.

Many of her students came from remote mountain villages, determined to bring critical medical knowledge back to their communities. It takes incredible dedication to serve others where resources are few and challenges are many.

At Compassion Medical, we’re grateful to work alongside partners with that same spirit—frontline nurses and doctors in Ukraine, clinic teams in Argentina, and humanitarians delivering food in Afghanistan.

Together, even small, consistent efforts bring hope into the darkest places.

On this Memorial Day, we remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. But we also pause to honor those who stood behind them — like the incredible women on the home front.

This is one of the original “Rosie the Riveters.” She was one of the fastest riveters on the team that worked on Doc, one of the last remaining B-29 bombers. I had the privilege of meeting her during a visit to see the aircraft she helped build. Her story is a reminder that service comes in many forms — on the battlefield, in the factories, and in the hearts of those who support our heroes. -Liz

This Memorial Day, we honor them all.

It’s been a couple of weeks since our last update, but the work in Myanmar hasn’t stopped.

Thanks to your support, our partners on the ground are reaching remote areas that many larger relief efforts simply can’t get to. Boats, back roads, and your generosity in action are getting emergency supplies to the people who need them most.

There’s still so much more to do, but your donations are already making a difference. Want to help? Click the link to give.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Today we celebrate the love, care, and comfort that mothers bring—and those who offer that same compassion when it’s needed most.

We’re thankful for every moment of kindness that helps a child feel seen, safe, and loved.
