Su***de and Homicide is taken seriously and you can help someone is need when you recognize the signs. Here are a few signs that someone who is suicidal and/or Homicidal (interchangeable) may display. Once you see the signs, you can offer help!

•Verbalizing not wanting to live or similar phrases: “I just can’t do it anymore” “Life is too much” “I wish it would all be over.”

•Having history of a su***de attempt or self-injurious behaviors: strangulation, cutting, head banging, hair pulling, etc.

•Unusual behaviors for that person: preoccupied with death or dying, verbalizing “what if I die” scenarios, giving away or selling personal items.

•Having access to lethal means: weapons, fi****ms, knives. Access to lethal means increases the likelihood that someone will use those means to kill themselves.
