Every prophet was a shepherd… why is that so important? What’s so unique about being a shepherd? The benefits are too many to list. But to make just a few:

1. Shepherds have to use their voice. Good communication skills are among the top traits of good leaders.

2) Shepherds are compassionate. They have to care for their flock. Good leaders must must be able to show concern and empathy.

3) Shepherds must understand health and wellness. A sick body can not do as much as a healthy body.

4) Shepherds must be strong and brave. Dealing with Rams and Bucks with horns that weigh more than you requires strength and heart.

5) Shepherds understand that we are all connected. The heard must work as one, the people must work as one. The animals, environment, and humans must remain in balance.

Is it any surprise that shepherding dogs are among the best?? The boarder collie is know as being the smartest. The Rottweiler the bravest, and the German Shepherd the most versatile.

Moving into next school year, we certainly plan to keep our Shepherd Program alive and well! ❤️
