Your phone OWNS YOU. Time to fight back!

Turn Your Phone into a Brick for 60 Minutes:

Right now, open Settings, enable Do Not Disturb, switch the screen to grayscale (Accessibility > Display > Color Filters > Grayscale), and place the phone face down inside a closed drawer.

Set a desktop timer for exactly 60 minutes and refuse to touch the drawer until the bell rings. While the brick is locked away, complete tasks you’ve postponed for days.

The sudden absence of color and pings makes the digital world lose its sparkle, and the loud analog timer gives your brain a finish line it can trust.

When the bell rings, reclaim your phone, switch color back on, and write the completed task on a sticky note you stick to your monitor. That single colorful note becomes today’s trophy and tomorrow’s reminder that real life still pays better dopamine!!!

So grateful to and Suwanee Magazine for wanting to provide their readers and community with digital addiction resources by featuring Digital Addiction Coach in their The Faces of Suwanee feature. It was a great deal of fun putting this article together. My two favorite quotes that Julie captured that day are:

" Think of me as the digital safety coach your wi-fi never came with."
..and my advice to parents:

"Don't wait until the 'uh-oh, oh crap,' moment. Get ahead of the screens before they get ahead of your kids. Parents be the wi-fi your kids want to connect to: strong, steady, and reliable, but with content limits."

𝙔𝙤𝙪 are the best filters. Technology is just the backup...and we are going to teach you how.

This Wednesday, September 17th, I’ll be joining Clayton Cranford (Cyber Safety Cop) for an East Coast/West Coast showdown on digital safety and addiction. Clayton is a former law enforcement officer, internet safety speaker and author.

We’re tackling the big three:

1. Why phones and apps feel so addictive (hint: dopamine is running the show).
2. How to set boundaries without battles in your family.
3. What parents must do to protect young kids from unfiltered online exposure.

This isn’t theory...it’s real solutions from our experience raising kids and being on the "frontline of digital warfare" aimed at making your children "users".

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁
💔 One of the deepest lies wives believe:
“If I were prettier, thinner, sexier, less of a nag… maybe he wouldn’t need porn.”

🚫 Let’s set this straight: That is a lie.

P**n addiction isn’t about your weight, beauty, or worth. You could look like a supermodel — it wouldn’t stop the addiction. Because addiction is about escape, shame, and brain chemistry… not your value as a woman.

👉 Here’s the truth:
✨ His choices are not your fault.
✨ You are already enough.

If you’ve been carrying the shame of “not being enough,” it’s time to put it down. That shame was never yours to .

💛 You are not to blame. You are not broken. You are not less than.

📌 Save this post for the days when the lies get loud. And if you need a safe place to process, send me a message. You don’t have to walk through betrayal alone.

7 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘴 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘏𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘴 𝘜𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘯:💔 Part 3

For wives who feel confused, hurt, or alone — you are not crazy. You are not to blame.

Here’s what to watch for and how to respond:

🚨 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 #𝟯 — 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀
Phones in the bathroom, hidden tabs, deleted histories. You notice him protecting screens more than ever.

🚨 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 #𝟰 — 𝗜𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
Bring up a concern, and suddenly he’s angry, sarcastic, or shuts down completely.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁. You’re not overreacting. These are red flags — not proof of failure on your part.

📌Forward post to a friend who needs to hear this.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝘄𝗼: 𝟳 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘀 𝗨𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗻

🚨 Sign #1 — Emotional Distance

He seems “off,” distracted, or disconnected. Conversations feel flat. You feel like you’re talking to a stranger at times.

🚨 Sign #2 — Decreased Intimacy

Physical intimacy becomes less forced, or if you offer...turned down. He avoids closeness, or his interest suddenly spikes in ways that feel off.

You’re noticing patterns — that’s your intuition, and it’s right.

📌Double-tap if you’ve felt this, and share with a friend who needs support.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗢𝗻𝗲: 𝟳 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘀 𝗨𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗻

For wives who feel confused, hurt, or alone — you are not crazy. You are not to blame. Here’s what to watch for and how to respond.

💔 Something feels off… but you’re not sure what. You’ve noticed small changes, but you keep asking yourself: Am I overreacting?

If your gut is telling you something’s wrong, trust it. Many wives sense this long before their husbands confess.

You are not crazy. You are not alone.
