If you are healthcare provider who is in need of emotional support or you know healthcare providers who may benefit from support services, there is an organization offering free counseling to healthcare providers who have been in the trenches of this pandemic and need support. Please share this information with those you know and those you care for.

The pandemic has been hard on everyone but especially our frontline healthcare providers. I had the option of going virtual and doing telehealth but many doctors, nurses, and other support staff who work at hospitals, ERs and on the frontline do not have that luxury. I can't imagine how seeing so much death and serious illness due to COVID-19 has and is affecting them emotionally and mentally. The ability to compartmentalize can only go on for so long before PTSD sets in. PTSD is real and has long term consequences on one's mental health, physical and emotional wellbeing, relationships and overall happiness. Support is available through the Emotional PPE Project.

The Emotional PPE Project is a directory that provides contact information of volunteer mental health practitioners to healthcare workers whose mental health has been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Reaching out to anyone who may be feeling down, feeling helpless, feeling hopeless, feeling anxious, anyone feeling like they need support, feeling like they can't go on another day, another moment, or another second. Just know, life and situations can always get better if you allow yourself the time to embrace another day, another moment, another second, another breath. Hope always finds a way and there is support just a phone call away.
